13 shots fired, 11 direct hits and zero pens in my T57. I couldn't even track the 60tp. My friend shot 7, direct hits 6 and zero pens on the same tank...i'm so sick of war gaming choosing winners and losers!

I have said this before and ill say it again. The RNG element is what is causing alot of ROFL stomp games.

Next time your in a ROFL stomp game look at stats of losing team versus winning team.

Losers will have bounced between 50-75% of shots where winners will have penned 75% or above of their shots

I just had a 21 shots, 19 hits, 7 pen game.     I also remember having a ZERO pen game on like 9 hits in my Indien-Panzer...including several to the LFP.     RNG is a joke.

3 MOE's: VK 30.01D (VI), T-34 (V), M-24 Chaffee (V)

2 MOE's: Indien-Panzer (VIII), T-20 (VII), Cromwell B (VI), Snakebite (VI), T-37 (VI), M4 Sherman w/Derp (V), VK 16.02 Leopard (V)

And yet we continue to play this hellishly frustrating game. We make fun of players that complain like it’s their fault. We most likely loose players because of this element of the game?

I like the RNG in this game, and feel like it's set at a good place. Much more would be too much, but less would make things too predictable and certain guns would be too OP.

If you're looking at the stats of losing team players after a match to see how many they bounce, you have to look at replays. An idiot who shoots an angled Maus 25 times but pens 2 isn't getting screwed by RNG. The Maus is getting screwed twice. Only a replay will tell you that.

Just looking at after match stats will make you think RNG screwed over the idiot Maus bouncer.

Without knowing where you aimed and where you hit, there's really nothing to comment here.

That's a great example. Now explain to me how you bounce a light tank in the rear or even an arty with a super conquerer?

That's the RNG stuff people are talking about, not super heavies or hull down beasts

It feels like whole team is using same RNG seed number and suffering from same "bad luck" of low rolls. WG should use weighting in their RNG implementation as it would remove series of low rolls. Or they should forbid use of some bad seed numbers that generate too many low rolls.

But they don't.

Every single event has a new RNG dice roll.

Surely in any random (or sudo random) series of numbers, runs of low or high numbers are pretty common. The human brain is biased to see any sequence of similar results as evidence of design or pattern.

The output of an RNG that made sure the next result was at least 20% different than the one before would probably look more random to many, but then people would complain that they could never get two good shots in a row.

If you were using heat in the T57 it isn't very effective on tracks or sloped armour. I've had the same issue in the past and now try to think ahead as to which clip to use.

so how does an IS3 with 268mm of pen bounce 6 SHOTS IN A ROW off 20 to 35 mm of side and turret armour from a tier 6 hellcat.

oh and needless to say the team got stomped 15/2...

You we're shooting prem at a Hellcat? :amazed:

If you hit at extreme angles, shite can happen.

I've bounced a snakebite with my IS-2.

Secondly, I don't really believe you shot 6 times in a row with prem at a Hellcat, and I also don't believe you bounced all of them.

I'd need to see a vid to believe any of that.

Yes, the dice roll moves to new number in the list that RNG generates from the seed number. If list is full of low roll numbers player suffers from bad luck. Same seed number produces always same RNG number list.  In computer the dice roll is not truly random like when you do it with real dice.

I know it's not "true" random,  but it's still as random as anything we'd call luck.

But that's not the issue I was replying to.

Some people think that the same RNG number is applied to a whole battle, or team, throughout the battle. That's simply not the case and that's what I was replying to.

RNG hates us all equally, it has no favorites... Apart from the guy who bounced his IS3's APCR of the side of a Hellcat 6 times, it clearly hates him more, or he exaggerated....  Just a little bit :teethhappy:

The gun on the IS3 over matches the Hellcats side armor, I don't know what he was hitting but it wasn't the side of a Hellcat lol.

I highly doubt it too, but wanted to give him the benefit of a doubt and the possibility to provide further explanation...

We've all been there when RNG decides that it's going to have its way with us so you can't blame the guy for raging, it is pretty infuriating at times. I just don't get why people think that it's just them that it happens to.
