I sold the tank some time ago

Is it worth buying it again in the current state?

Did they also balance this tank in the last patches?

I was working on the third mark but I was short on money:hiding:

It’s ok, T57 is just better imo. 50B is only better on rotation based maps.

Buy it back. I prefer it over my T57 because I enjoy playing tanks with good mobility and some what paper armour. I remember a week after I bought it I had a good run of games one night doing 5k, 6k, 7k, 7k, 5k plus a Pools medal. Now with the Machine contract I've been playing it quite a bit and enjoying it

I am working to get mine, and I heard nothing but good things about the 50B, give or take a few unhappy people.

Besides, the Machine is based on its chassis. WG would never assemble a Mercenary with bad components, would they now?

I wont play this tank until they buff the aim time.

3 seconds is ridiculous.

The tier 9 has 2.7

Come on WG.

There is no reason to play this tank over the tier 9, IMO.

Gun depression and elevation.

Ultimately, the 50B is best in a medium/heavium platoon for softening a group or few targets, then letting the DPM monsters(SQ/E5) to go clean up. It is also, obviously good in an ambush roll. The problem is that the meta doesn't really allow for this. The game is mostly based around covering yourself up (SQ hull down) and laying down the DPM at a static flank, like the hill of Malinovka. It really needs a good map and good tanis to succeed.

I would still buy it though, just because its play style is still viable, just inconsitently so.

Great tank except the gun trolls really badly. T57 all the way.

So I got my 50B alright, and it is another medium tank I guess. I played two battles in it, but this is what it looks like it is.

I am going to have to keep flanking exclusively since it seems you can't pen anything that fronts you.

Also, the tank has no armor. U can only play this tank at mid range and beyond. Its really a sad tier 10 heavy and needs some definite upgrades.

100mm of base armor and or less in most places and the height of the tank makes it very hard to play. Gun depression is nice, but who cares when a single shot from any HE round wrecks your tank.

I seem to have 1 good match every 7 games or so.  The rest are usually very under whelming.

I have so far the same feel as you when I play this tank. I am yet to find something I like in it. It even lacks in the penetration department, and I am not going to purchase premium ammo. I managed to bounce some shells while shooting sides of medium tanks. The only way to safely pen seems to shoot from behind, which means you spend battles hanging back or tracking.

This tank is one of my favorites.  Poor armor?  Don't get hit.  It's certainly fast enough to accomplish that.  Don't treat it like a conventional heavy where you try to find cover and bait poor shots from the enemy so you can trade.  Wolf pack with the light and medium tanks, follow a superheavy around and flank his targets, but avoid being the center of attention and you can pop off 3 or 4 shots and run away without being shot at.

Poor penetration?  Load 100 percent APCR and you should have no problems.  Unlike HEAT there are no drawbacks to spamming APCR.  This is a huge bonus for an autoloading tank.

I have vowed to not default on premium ammunition, unless the outcome of the battle depends on how much assistance I can provide.

I try my best to do assault support, I hate that an Atomic can just pen me at will, and I manage to bounce on his front while he is immobile. I am starting to get the hang of my M4 Mle 51, and having 19 hits with 12 of them bounces, makes you feel better.

The outcome of the battle is usually determined by who wins the first clashes or who inflicts the most early damage.  In a fast autloader with a 30 secobd reload you probably don't know your next target when you start loading. Load up APCR right from the start.  Better to waste it on a T49 than to not be able to pen the E3 you rum into.

My team always gets stacked with other light armored tanks. While the reds get the opposite. Put all the French on one team and Russians on the other. All I know is that I lose a lot of silver playing the 50B.

Like the 50 120, the gun is just straight up unreliable. Neither accurate nor snappy enough to get away with the mobility it has. And missing or not penning a shot is lethal.
