When I started playing world of tanks, back in 2017, I enrolled into the forum immediately. (different language though). Then I learned English when they closed all foreign language forums.

Right when from the beginning in July 2017, I noticed that several players had their statistics displayed in their signature, and I asked what to do to get mine to show in the same way.

Something else I observed, is that almost all of those that were/are displaying their stats have "Good" ones, Purple or Blue.

I am almost the exception here, because I have terrible stats.

Why do I have my stats on display then? since I often post to the forum, I can always analyze and interpret the results of my recent battles with the evolution of my weekly under par performance.

But I digress, why are you, or aren't you displaying your stats? the POLL votes are not public, so nobody will know, just in case you would care!

Bad teams are in the same battle. Good teams work together! don't complain, contribute.

I have good stats (ish) I don't feel the need to display them because they are generally irrelevant to whatever the conversation is.

If I want to check my stats (progress or otherwise) I can check the portal or wotinfo or another site and if others care enough they can do the same.

I’m no great player, and I’m new, but a big reason why I’m so addicted to the grind of this game is that I love numbers and stats like this in a game. I like to know when I’m doing well/improving

Got to say there are too many "good" players who judge peoples comments on their playing ability and since stats mean nothing it's really stupid. If I wanted great stats I could easily do it, by playing the right tanks and full prammo load outs. I don't do anything to pad my stats, but why show them to others? I keep mine to myself and use them a little to check I'm not getting any worse.

I do it to mostly to display my current favorite tank in the moment, and after a period of not using the banner for awhile as wotinfo didn't offer the Polski tanks switched to the DE tool when I found out it existed, which for some reason after switching from the 50TP to the Prototyp earlier today is not displaying.

Anyone looking at tanks played can make a fairly valid assessment pretty quickly. ie. are the 131, T-34-88, V/IV, etc., if their lights and mediums have a low spotting value, it goes on. Still doesn't mean much, good players play those tanks too. But stats used in any realm are only a valuable tool when context is applied, and like you said the greatest value comes from using as a tool of personal growth.

Only thing that really matters is are they improving from the original baseline. :)

I am a casual player & do not care about 3rd party metrics. When WGCB works with player groups to come up with a metric that takes into account % time playing platooned & the consoles meta then I may care more. That is just my personal opinion & is nothing against those who display them or care about them.

It's a tank forum. Tank stats look cool. So, I display mine. That's it. :)

I like the loltraktor and wanted a Sig. This was the easiest way. If someone wanted to make me a KISS demon painted TOG Sig without stats, I'd switch to that.

I post on mobile, so I can't see Sigs anyways. Most of the time I forget it's there. WN8 is a decent measure of your contribution, so I have no reason to change it. Plus it lets people know how much I've been drinking in the last week by how far away from purple my stats go down.

I play for the k/d ratio. Winning is not essential, just a pleasing byproduct of killing baddies. :izmena:

Because everyone needs to see a pic of a Cromwell!

With that said, they are only a "snapshot" of someone's performance.   Without knowing tank, tier, platoon amounts, prammo shot, etc....they don't mean much.

3 MOE's: VK 30.01D (VI), T-34 (V), M-24 Chaffee (V)

I used to have it on mine, so I could use the hyperlink on it to go to the WoTInfo webpage easier while I'm messing around on the site.  Then, I started collecting a bunch of other hyperlinks to info I use fairly often, so I just started putting them on my profile instead.  Easier for me to organize and keep track of it all when I'm messing around on the website, since I sometimes use different devices to check out the WoT page.
