Map Rotation - Where Is The Logic?

Are the differences really that great????

 

Increased               Decreased

Arctic Region         Arctic Region Summer & Snow

Cliff                        Cliff Rain & Winter

El Halluf                 El Halluf Rain & War (maybe enough of a difference)

Himmelsdorf          Himmelsdorf Winter and Stadt Der Dunkelheit

 

etc......etc.....you get the idea. The differences other then the War! and 1944 variations are negligible. What logic is being followed here? I'm beginning to think the questionnaire was flawed.

Also, how about addressing the number of times you see a map? Nothing better then playing 10 battles in an evening and having three sets of duplicates. Any attention given to that portion of the rotation?

Pretty upset after seeing the patch notes myself. Who were the morons that asked for Severogosk and Steppes in an increased rotation? Sand River? More than we already have it? Will we see Caen and these other console exclusive maps less now? That's probably too much to hope for. 

When map selection is as limited as it already is (don't give me any B.S. about different modes) why does matchmaking have to favor or limit any of them? Map weighting is one of the dumbest most infuriating things about this game.

They're just removing the frequency of weather variants.

 

My question is;

WHO IS THE IDIOT THAT VOTED FOR GHOST TOWN TO BE MORE FREQUENT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

That stupid map is easily the MOST over replayed map in the entire game. Even people on the FB page agree it comes up too much.

Note that I appreciate that WG is trying to use player feedback for map rotation.

Well, if I have to spell it out for you, the differences between Cliff and Cliff Rain are negligible so why increase one and decrease the other? And my point was that the questionnaire was flawed and WG is working with lousy data.

i don't expect anything good with wg "updates" cos majority of the time leads to disappointment. Proved right again

 

Games are supposed to be fun, wot is more frustrating than fun with the broken MM, Rotation and idiotic player base.

I voted for original variations of maps (certainly not ghost town) to increase and a few war maps to decrease. I personally just prefer the look of the original versions more than the weather ones and I can’t stand war maps.

If WG would really fix the rotation, only new maps would need frequency adjustments.  It's the repeats of the bad maps that I dislike.  Problem is that the definition of random includes repeat after repeat.  I sure hope their RNG calculations are better than the map selection.

Thanks for spelling it out for me :) 

 

Have a thought occurred to you that they might be increasing the frequency of some maps yet decrease the frequency of other maps not to make certain maps to  pop more or less often but to put them all across the board on more even terms? 

 

Before you go on on spelling out stuff to others make sure you got it spelled out for yourself in the future.

He said he didn’t have any stress. Either he was right or else it became someone else’s problem.

What?

 

If you're asking me did they do this to make it so every map was seen at the same frequency? Then no.....that thought never occurred to me and they certainly wouldn't need a questionnaire from us to do that. They could have just programmed their game to make sure every map gets played once before any map occurrence is duplicated. That's probably the way it is now and would explain why I see multiple duplicates in a short evening run of 10 battles.

I don't think it is working well yet.

 

I have been playing several times back to back battles on the same map, different tank, different Tier, but it is annoying;

 

I am alternating between the M4 Mle 51 Tier IX and the AMX Chaffee Tier VII, heavy and light. It has happened a few times now, that I play the same map twice in a row.


                Bad teams are in the same battle. Good teams work together! don't complain, contribute.
