Okay, guys, so let’s talk about the agenda for the next three months. I say we bring back that map Icebound that all the players on Facebook and the forums said they didn’t like. Tech’s already smoothed down a couple lumps, and I’m proposing that we just go ahead and give them a poll, okay. See where I’m going here? Sure, they’re going to vote that don’t want to see the map anymore, right? Of course, Umkay. [chuckles heard around the table]. But after the poll, I think we should probably increase its frequency in the map algorithm. That way they’ll be getting that map, maybe, on average, six or seven battles out of thirty. Voila! Simple, right? Look, it'll give them something to do. [More chuckles heard]. Does anyone have any questions or maybe suggestions about what we’ll be doing over the next three months?

Icebound is actually one of my favorite city maps; up there with maps like Berlin and Ardennes. If the snow drifts were leveled out I feel it would easily be the best city map, but even with the admittedly annoying drifts the map still offers a ton of flanking routes, plenty of cover, and many ridges/longer range opportunities along the outside ring of the map.

The fact that you just wrote that sentence and didn't seem to be joking really makes me question your sanity.

I don't understand why there are people who complain about this map. It's quite easy to find a spot or else a tactic to follow whatever the tank you use.

You have both corridors, open spaces (Maybe a bit more nimble like your fave plain map like Prokhorovka) and long range zones. What else you want?

The smoothed out the spots where tanks were rolling over too often. So, the whole stupid map is now flat?

I asked an EOD man how he dealt with the stress of his job.

He said he didn’t have any stress. Either he was right or else it became someone else’s problem.

I mean, the only two problems I can think of with Icebound are the already mentioned snow drifts and the fact that many standard battles end in a cap. Other than that the map is very dynamic and allows tanks of any class to do well in multiple areas. Berlin is just a really good urban map that plays similarly to a map like Himmelsdorf or Ensk, but is much better than either, and I mostly just like Ardennes because of the open fields and unpredictability of each match on it.

Icebound is one of my favorite city maps. It has enough open areas outside the city that tanks can use view range.

Ah I told you people there was someone who didn't like prok or Malinovka. people were laughing at me.:B See there is Always one. As for Ardennes The other forms of it, like summer are good but as a near all white map no thank you. Does quite a few players eyes in. :deer: YEa Ensk t 10 spotted within 5 seconds and destroyed within 17 seconds. I know it so well.

Icebound... so they're flattening it now to try and salvage this mess of a map.

Personally, I would just remove it from rotation completely. Problem solved.

Love it. Aced the M3 Lee in it last night.

The cap on that one is it 100s or 300s?

Bring it back???  I see this map twice a day. And I curse it every time.

Personally i also think this is one of the better city maps. Imo ever class can find a way to play on it... not only heavies. Had aces in Heavy, Artillery and TD's on it.
