For the first time since 4.10 I got Icebound and I don’t see anything different playing it. Drove around in the fields and in the town it seems like nothing was actually done to it.

Still losing all my speed and flipping all about in light tanks, which makes the map rather unenjoyable.

Please WG dramatically smooth out the fields or remove the map entirely.

Lights tanks need rebalanced(again)

Update 4.2 and 4.6 were terrible

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

There is literally an Xbox 360 in a museum, and this is the best joke you can come up with?

probably means the height and roughness of the snow drifts were "smoothed out" a lot of people complained about Nomonhan Winter having such a problem.

Not sure. I'm guessing some snow drifts and roads were changed or improved.

Well if they were it wasn’t improved enough. Still awful getting around in a light tank.

They lied. Probably smoothed 1 Snow Drift and took rest of year off.

The idea of the map is solid but

- for light tanks it is still simply impossible to go across without flipping your tank over.

- Circling is still really hard, even if you resort to auto lock, for most of the edges.

- Arty can still be spotted for miles unless you go into the hills but there you can't hit 50% of the map because of the hills that give you cover.

- TD's can either hide and not hit anything or go on top of certain hills and be spotted from across the map. That is if you are lucky to spawn in the north, the other side has still nearly zero snipe positions.

IMHO still a brawl map for heavies like ghost town.... but worse

Please WG, no.

This map is actually very good for light tanks already.  Don't ruin it.

You have to be joking, Icebound is at minimum in the bottom ten of maps for light tanks

No joke, this is a great map for lights.  It's near perfect for assassination hit and run strikes on distracted heavies and TDs.  Not a bad map to sneak up and slap Arty in the back of the head, either.

There are corridors, but they're not in grids, and they're broken up without too many clear sightlines.  There are hills to sneak around and hide in.  And there are those glorious ridges and bumps to keep the pesky mediums who chase me from getting a clean shot.  What's not to love?

I think anyone who doesn't like or at least appreciate this map as-is as a light tank has a lot to learn about light tanking.
