Most of the time I like to leave comms on with the random players, you never know when you might get some good tactical information.

But holy cow, sometimes I wonder what is going on in some households.  An absolute cacophony of background noise going on.  Last night I heard this one player, and I kid you not, sounded like his old lady was cussing him out, two kids fighting, and someone trying to strangle a cat at the same time.  And there was some background music on as well, like salsa dance music or something.  The only thing you couldn't hear was the actual player.

This makes it very hard to concentrate, especially when playing arty and trying to one shot some lazy player not playing arty safe.  Sorry to say, but I had to mute the player.  How all of this goes through the headset mic I'm really not sure, but it did.

I never use comma anymore, too many toxic wastes of space out there. I have sound muted and good music to tank by. I play better that way too. I pay attention to what’s going on around me and adjust accordingly. Use nonverbal comms as needed.

I mainly stick to the comm wheel but I do play with my headset on just my mic is usually up so it’s off. I just mute people that either have rediculous background noises, breathe like a baboon, or what I really hate is when people are in a platoon and just chatting about nonsense not related to the game.... go in a party chat if you want to talk about off topic subjects. No one else wants to listen to your crap

Yeah that is pretty annoying too.  Its like being inserted into a 20 minute conversation at the 14 minute mark.

I've one time tried to say nicely, 'games on guys', and immediatly got cussed out for it.  Well excuuuuuuusee me.

I asked an EOD man how he dealt with the stress of his job.

He said he didn’t have any stress. Either he was right or else it became someone else’s problem.

The worst is people playing music LOUD. Just turn off your mic if you are going to do that. And it doesn't matter if you ask nicely or not nicely, they never turn their mic off. I never ask for them to turn their music off, if they want to listen to whatever, fine, just don't make the rest of us listen to it. And sometimes you get someone saying 'well just mute them'. Why should 14 people all have to mute 1 person?

As for family background, that I just mute straight out. There was one English guy from a few years back, and it was like listening to a Monty Python skit with the ladies with the high screeching voices complaining about how all he does is sit there and play this fng game. It was hilarious.

I hear you.

I am a very social person, I do enjoy the casual banter every now and then.

One of my observation is that the NA server is more vocal than the EUR one. On the EUR one, the party line is almost exclusively used by Russian speakers, and not necessarily from Russia. Russian is still the language spoken in all the former Soviet cluster. So you get  a lot of kids and background. But I have no issue with this. I have an example of what I absolutely abhor, but I need to sanitize it. And this happens most of the time on the NA server....

Here is a good example...

That’s not too bad actually, they kinda sound like they are playing the game the way it should be played. Usually when I hear Russian in game chat, it’s more like “безопасности!! конфиденциальности!! другом!!

себе или целях!“ Doesn’t sound too friendly...
