I used to strive for the stats... but I quickly threw those intentions off of a steep cliff.

I have purple stat and I still have fun when I play. Mainly in the form of the ISU-152 because smacking people back to the gulag never gets old.

Honestly don't care about stats, used to but not anymore. I mean really, where's it gonna get me?

I don't even consider myself good at this game and usually just go out and try to do some dmg to help get a win.

If I can make significant silver in the battle results screen then I'm happy.

When you get good at the game, you become more aware of how bad most players are at the game. Just the way it is. With that said I still make potato mistakes, and there is a voice in my head telling me what I am doing will end badly but I do it anyway. I'll always be part potato lol.

I completely agree with the potato statement. I'll make plays that get me killed and I'll blame the teammates then I remember I was the one that chose that decision. Case in point when I got the machine I decided to rush to the front and got clipped out by 2 bat chats.

I'd I had purple stats I'd be able to answer the question but what I can say as a bluenicum is yes I have a lot of fun. If it's all going to [edited]I turn off and play something else, pointless chasing a good game when you're not in the right frame of mind to do so

being purple doesnt mean anything because some days you have good matches and the others are horrible. At this point in time I just play to get the daily missions done for the earn ops going on. The only time I tried this last month was to 3 mark my charioteer. Took me 3+ months of hovering around the 93% to finally get it. Other than that stats only get you so far. I have a friend that's sitting down in the 1000s of WN8 but he plays like hes a purple person. Same for win rate it doesnt mean anything to me as I can have a sting of losses but do the best on my team. The only time I got to stats is when people make stupid plays I go to see what kind of tank they mainly play in to see if it's a new tank they haven't played or if they arent playing their favorite class.

It's been about two years since I last cared for stats. I still play daily up to now but been pretty bored as usually no one else is playing this game anymore nowadays

I'm over 40 now, and I find it's a little harder to do purple.  Plus I do terribly in tanks like autoloaders that people say are stat padders. I've found a lot of OP tanks boring. Plus I still drink and tank. One night I'll have too many beers at the Mexican place down the street, and I'll get green stats. Then I'll do dark purple.

What I've found though, is that I still tend to win a lot even drunk and playing solo. Things like protecting the base, pinging it when it's in trouble, and capping when needed help a lot. Teams can really benefit from just a couple players with map awareness.

I used to think my win rate was only from platoons. But I've been hardly platooning lately and still winning. I only won 45 percent in platoon this week. Really, WN8 is nice, but I'd rather be blue with a lot of spotting and a win than purple from a lot of garbage time damage.

Meh I regularly play like garbage. It's actually incredibly easy to get purple stats even in non stat padding tanks. This game isn't difficult, it takes a set of knowledge and skills anyone can develop if they spend the time. You don't really need ultra focus to pull purple numbers regularly.

I have as much fun as a person can have in a poorly balanced mess of a game with tanks in it.

MOEs so I can pretend like they matter

The better you get at something the better you get at maintaining a certain level of stats with certain levels of effort. Sometimes you get to the point where autopilot can achieve it.

Using myself as an example I'm currently doing the machine contract and I've been trying to do all tanks available including Arty and even the tier 10 tanks I don't like or don't care for or don't care for the playstyle.

Sometimes I just play for 100%fun and not worry about stats. Arty is like that where I'll just play and needing 5-6 games to get the first win at the expense of getting only mainly green or low blue stats.

Having said all this I still average around 2700-3200 wn8 which isn't bad.

The benefit is that I managed to rush through to the final 500k xp in last stage of the machine in around 20 days and have some 80ish days left to complete it. I was worried after finishing the sharpshooter contract that I would run out of time. Now, I may be able to finish the hardcase contract too.

First, I’m not a purple player. I did, however, have a purple 60% WR in my BC 12t until yesterday. Up until yesterday, it was a fun tank. Losing (regardless of reason) sucks the joy out of anything in life - the effort required to win is trivial in comparison.  There’s no such thing as having fun and losing...frankly, if you're not playing to win, I don’t understand why you’re playing at all.

That applies to everything. T-ball, Lacrosse, Soccer, whatever...

An occasional uni player reporting for duty! I love this game, and always have fun when I’m playing tanks, even when things don’t go my way. Ever since I started gaming online I’ve enjoyed the challenge of trying to improve, so I consider every loss and every mistake I make an opportunity to learn something new :)

Having a lot of fun, however, I refuse to play this new +1/-1 horse crap. I actually like being two tiers down. I'm more confident because I feel no one is relying on my to carry. Besides, I'm chasing marks, higher tier tanks with idiots in them means more damage to farm. This update does nothing but cater to the bad player. They'll all be complaining when us unis are wrecking them because they can't be two tiers higher. I'm going to run nothing but my Heat 54 with 45 heat and 5 HE for the entire event. The new players can get to see how OP this idea is for those of us that actually know how to play this game. Let the crying begin.

Who's the one crying here...? It's already begun.

Depends. When the Turtle is working it's great but when RNG trolls you hard it's not so much fun.

As long as I'm not thinking about stats everything is good. when I start playing for stats is when it starts to go down hill.

How is me stating my opinion, crying? If you're gonna troll, at least be good at it.

Why can't people do both? Play for fun and get better at the same time while "learning" from your mistakes. When that T7 KV2 came out I wasnt playing for stats, I was playing for lawlz.

I still say, what a dumb@$$ when someone dies in the first 2 mins of the game. I finally aced my is7 with 9k combined. Only took 2 years to do it but that was fun.

I have fun until i get :arta: but luckily it's a rare occurrence.

Gameplay wise it depends on if my team or the opfor puts up a fight, i don't like roflstomps both giving and receiving.

I don't play anymore, just loiter around the forum from time to time.

Not a question that I have to worry about answering, I have accepted I will never be purple.
