I never thought I'd play a mercenary tank, let alone buy one but I sold out when the Turtle was on a personal offer and I have to say, I'm glad I did. This tank is a tonne of fun and being a tier 8 premium it's great for grinding credits. I've made a couple of videos for it, the first one is a tips and tricks video and the second is the best game I've had in the tank so far. Let me know what you think :)

Equipment: Coated optics, verticle stabilizers and a gun rammer.

If you have any questions, fire away. I'll keep an eye on the thread for a while.

Fantastic games. The gun, when it penetrates, is great fun. But how do you deal with the inaccuracy? Even point blank range, the shot could still go almost anywhere. I have had some incredible misses where I had no idea where the shot went.

You just have to have belief in the derpness :)

One of my best fun tanks, and worth it just for the one shot that really lands. Usual crew skills, equipment, prem consumables (you can afford it with this tank) and terrain awareness helps when turtling about.

Thank you :)

That's just something you have to deal with when you're playing a tank with a derp gun, some of the misses are annoying but then you hit something ridiculous and all is forgiven lol.

Wow!  I work myself carefully to the back of tanks and still only do 200-300 damage per shot.  Sometimes I even hit light tanks for only 235-265.  I find the damage a bit disappointing.  You've got the magic with all those full pens.

Is it better to run ammo load out of  [0-0-40] HE, since you get a better splash radius or would the standard HE give you a better chance of getting full pen 600+ damage with a smaller splash radius?

When is the best time to use HEAT or on what?

I use HEAT for when I know a tank is busy engaging others and when I know I need the HEAT pen to penetrate the back of a tank like the Tortoise. It works very well, but usually I carry only 6 HEAT, some HE but most of my loadout is premium HE, bigger splash + the extra few mm pen can make the difference between a pen and do full damage or not pen and doing only 300dmg.

Thanks to xRoni7x for this awesome sig!

Technically yes, the premium HE is the best round on the tank but it's not that much better than the standard HE so I wouldn't waste my credits. The HEAT isn't great, it has low pen and the gun isn't exactly reliable and accurate, so if you're going to use it you need to get up close and around the back of your target but to be honest I hardly use it at all :)

I recently traded one of my unused tigers for the turtle.
damn!

I should have gotten this tank long ago.
It’s quickly becoming one of my favs.
