Doesn't sound like it's the most fun to grind. I appreciate the response though, as IDK if I wanna sell this thing. I rode it out this far, and it's really my only superheavy. I feel like this one will take me a while, cause theres so many better tier 8 heavies, like the T32 and others. I'll definately try it out this way.

By any chance, have you done the Maus route? I'd like to know how the grind is for that one, as I just started working my way up, because I want to try the VK 100.01P.

I'm trying to have a heavy from every major nation, so I'm aiming for the T110E5 (3k xp from the M103), the E100 (on Tiger 1), one of the 3 main British heavies (on the Caernarvon), The IS-7 (started recently so on the KV-1S), and lastly both French Heavies (on AMX 50 120 and AMX 65t). Most games I use heavies, because I don't really know how to play well as a light, medium, TD, or arty, so I don't have anything above tier 7 for any of those other tank types. Are there any routes you recommend for these other types?

I actually enjoyed the Japanese super heavies myself.

I run very similar load outs on the German super heavies, sans the HE. Because of their angled armor they are a bit bouncier. Just remember to hide your lower glacis behind cover whenever possible in these (though that can be good advice for many tanks as it is a frequent weak spot). I have read some complaints about them on here occasionally but I have always found them to be quite strong.

I remember winning one game in the Mauschen 1 vs 3 while one of those 3 was circling me in a tier 7 unable to find any spot to pen me until he finally gave up and rammed me to his own demise.

If you are looking for the biggest heavies the Maus line and the type 5 line are it.

The is-7 line is probably a good route if you are looking for a bit more mobility.

KV1 - solid with several viable gun choices  (KV1s was a tier 6 when I went through this line and haven't played it enough at tier V to comment)

KV85 - IS peak-a-boomers with an effective cannon at tier.

IS3 - obj257 - IS7 good mix of armor and mobility.

When a person resorts to attacking the other person rather than focusing on the issue (aka argumentum ad hominem), it becomes pretty clear they have nothing else to contribute and are wrong.

I know. I realized that after I made the video.

At first I thought he killed himself like most of them do, but no. He was AFK.

I would've got an easy POOL's if I just hit the turret of the m103.

I was so mad at myself after this video :(

Best super heavy imho is the vk 100 at tier 8. All the fun of bouncy armor, with a good hard hitting gun at a tier that’s competitive.

I liked both the o-ni and the o-ho. I think the o-ho has the fastest 150 mm gun in the game. Just wish it had the same premium round the dreadnought gets.

Just fire pure HE. I think they changed the packages after I sold it.

You'll do some damage if you don't miss

Wiggling about can work with some bounces.

People get over confident when they see you ambling towards them. Borsigs etc.

get used to being spotted and having no idea what spotted you.

Just bashing into some people kills them. I sold it when I got the type 4 but I needed the money

Oh, yeah.  The O-I X, for instance, no longer can use the 100mm.  Speeds were reduced, aim times increased, etc

Finished that grind a long time ago. Pray that red arty never sees you, you are a hp pinata. Arty safe does not exist in the Japan heavy line up.:arta:

T110E5 is a great heavy, although I've been told and see the T110E3 is a better "heavy" disguised as a TD.

I hated the IS-7.  It's great at face hugging, otherwise mediocre.  I'd take any other Russian tier 10 heavy over the IS-7. I  haven't had it in over two years, maybe it's better now.  (I had a couple years where my job didn't allow time for this game.).

I'll probably rebuy it soon but FYI, my expectations are very low...  It does seem like there are a lot more city maps than there were before, maybe it's beast these days.  But I still expect it to have a gun that trolls me every shot over 150m and frontal armor like cardboard until I'm kissing my foe.

Unfortunately, the O-Ho is the pinnacle of the line, perhaps he O-Ni though.  It's been a while for me, but make sure you don't go anywhere alone and learn how to get mediums off your side--scrape them off on something.  So keep something handy (tank, rock) to scape mediums off.  Stick to corridors.  I don't think I used the derp, but I seem to remember it had no real premium shell.  Oh yeah, 253 pen--medium tank power at tier 8.  Just not flexible so you have to plan ahead in a protect yourself in a kind of way--again stick to corridors.

I think I would really hate trying to grind these at this time.  So many weakspots and they can't get out of their own way.
