So, I been stuck on the stage five of the hardcase contract since three days into it. I have set a grand total of seventeen fires in NON Soviet tanks. I have damaged countless engines and fuel tanks for nothing. I hop in something non soviet and the world is made of kindle. So after four frustrating matches, I pulled a M4tiX® and went to go do something else. I started cleaning out old emails and discovered I had thirty three unclaimed games and dlc from humble bundle. So, if I dont set something on fire by next wed, Im going to take a break and go play any one of the FLYING SPAGHETTI MONSTER knows of games I have. I swear, this has to be one of the single dumbest requirements of any contract, besides the insane amount of XP needed to actually get the tanks. It actually makes me enjoy the game less for trying to do these contracts than just playing it normally. Whats next? Going to make us get a Bombardier on stage five?

Setting someone on fire is not even close that much silly as getting 2 High Caliber medals in light tank. I needed 10 days for this Sharpshooter 2xHC Stage 5.

Don't ask me how i managed to get them the first time the contract was released before i left it due to desperation.

I hope the rework in it's third release is real this time.

That took me four games :D i was waiting it to be long annoying thing, but it went pretty smooth

Sympathies. I just don't even start any of the contracts that require fire starting now. It's not worth the hassle.

 

I mean unless I intend to pay gold to skip that stage of course.

Oh please. Just roll out in any light with AMX or BC in front of it and you are guaranteed HC in a few matches. 3 hours if you sleep half the time.

Comrade, load incendiary rounds and fire at capitalist arses as they flee from superior, Soviet armour.

You will get it eventually, no doubt. Yelling "Rasha" just before pulling the trigger also helps.

 

Ps. Pulled a M4ntiX myself today in RB. So many clueless players at tier VIII... :I

I actually recommend the Russian tier 9 arty for bombardiers.  

 

Sorry for your firestarter trouble.  I have failed several contracts, coming close but not quite finishing, due to weird requirements.  I personally hate the get spots on winning teams because it is almost a guarantee that if I get more than 5 spots, then my team suicides into the reds guns.  I would much prefer get 3 spots and 500 damage or something that is better than the yolo brigade coming out in force.

Today was the final nail in the coffin. Four german engines hit. Not one fire. One soviet engine AND fuel tank hit. No fire. All of this was in the same match.

Try HE maybe? You could damage modules so they start fire. Especially no armor tanks.

Keep at it. I did both bruisers and a fire last night for my Stage 5. I used the Machine, close flanking and clipping out on the reds engines. Tbo, I was expecting this to take ages, but maybe luck played a part.

Are you using HE guns by any chance?  KV-2 available?  Perhaps the arty?
