After two days of playing with "reduced RNG," two things became apparent.

 

1) I absolutely love the consistent damage rolls +/-10% is now offering. No more praying to RNGesus for the shot to roll average or above, no more duels won by sheer luck because of super high rolls and duels lost due to exceptionally low rolls. Please, puuuulllleeeaaase WG, make this a permanent thing.

 

2) I hate the lack of deviation on penetration values. Not only does it promote gold spamming, it makes the game less engaging and interesting to play. It also makes low tier tanks useless against higher tier oponents, as now even with gold they have literally zero chance of penning (pun?). While I will agree +/-25% on pen is too much, having zero variation is no bueno. Why not try dialling it down to +/-15%?

Reduced damage works nicely. Removing RNG 100% is a mistake and is too extreme for both ways. should be 10-15% instead of 0% or 25%

I have really enjoyed the event so far. The Machine is insanely OP right now. The standard rounds pierce without a problem and having consistent damage rolls above 300 makes this thing even more the juggernaut it already has been. HEAT is hole puncher it you want it to be, and I find the modules are getting damaged a lot more often than not. I haven't rolled with any TDs or Arty for this event. I would like to hear how they have fared with it though.

I am pretty much the same as others here.  Reducing pen to zero was a stupid move as far as I am concerned.  And, the two tiers down tanks just increase the amount of fodder for the upper tiers.  Didn't really need a test to guess this would happen, along with the increase in prammo.....what a surprise.

@redshadowrider, It is not stupid move! What is missing is damage reduction for "special" shells! They should try to test that too. More pen (premium ammo) less damage.

The pen isn't reduced to 0, it's at -10/+10%. The poll is just worded wrong.

I voted yes for both but with the Caveat that I don't want to see no RNG with Penetration but would like to see it reduced to say 12.5% (half way between 10 - 15%).

No, poll is correct and you're wrong. :)

Penetration values are constant this week and do not deviate from base value  (only drop off over distance).

Accuracy is still as "NOT RANDOM" as ever as Fusion will attest. We got the Dreadnuts out after you left because we were missing RNG.

It is my understanding that if you have a tank that has 200 mm thickness and you shoot at it with a 190 pen shell it won't pen.  Even if your reticle is red.  If I have that wrong, then I apologize, it is the way I have understood it to be.

Oh yeah. The "lack of arr en gee" in accuracy and all the "Rashaa!" :izmena: snap shots were a thing of beauty. All this test did is expose how bad the guns really are in this game. Without unusually high pen rolls to compensate for ridiculous dispersion values, it really is hard to hit and pen anything sometimes.

The Hesh on the 4202 is much more consistent in the matches I have used it.  I like that a lot.

Reducing RNG makes the game too easy. I bounce too many shots off my armor.

 

The E25 was built for Shenanigans
