people should not know when they are being aimed at, its total scrub friendly nonsense and is especially unfair to tank destroyers

This. Or they could just remove whole "Targeted" mechanic, it's a stupid, gamebreaking mechanic. Old "Detected" system were better.

How dare you use your eyes to see when a tank turns a turret toward you!  That's cheating!

Here's a tip...Don't keep your aim circle on your enemy except when you are pulling the trigger.  Rocks and houses are particularly helpful for shading this with little movement.

:P

I don't want a "tip" to work around this new noob friendly system

you want to give a targeted perk to new players for their first 50 tanks or w/e? fine. but not forever, not above tier 5. you're supposed to gitgud and its inherently harmful to tank destroyers or tanks with long aim times

So if they don't get more than 50 tanks they keep it forever?

I think there should be no "targeted" if the tank that is targeting you is not detected. Otherwise I think it is fine as it is a radio com from a friendly tank or your own crew that is telling you a Red is pointing it's gun at you.

I can't disagree with this, it makes too much sense... That's how I thought the game worked when I first started playing and I was really disappointed when I learned about perks and saw Sixth Sense there.

But do this only if you dial back the guns of all tanks destroyers, or dial up the guns of all the "regular" tanks, at least a little.  It's not like a gun is magically stronger because it's mounted on a destroyer chassis.  Or ammo is magically better on a TD chassis.

no they get it for free for their first 50 crews; if you want to trade those crews around forever fine; you'll always have them

that's a fine compromise honestly

You said tanks at first and now you are switching it to crews?!  Have you considered how much programing that would require?  How would you even limit it to only the first 50 crews when it is a built in game mechanic?  Seems like a real complication to an integrated game mechanic, which would likely cause game breaking bugs as some people have it in game and some don't.  A lot of work to satisfy what is pretty arguably a very small portion of the game population that is dissatisfied over a mechanic to help new players, wouldn't you agree?  How many people have more than 50 crews really?

So why can't you adjust your game play again?

you must be sitting around a lot if you think this is an issue. Don't think I've ever had someone just blind fire me because they have been "targeted"

sounds like you need to make your gameplay a little more dynamic:P

I also dont think a new player really understands the "targeted" mechanic in the first place and if im not mistaken being "targeted" and "detected" are the same thing but WG changed the wording so it made more sense and was easier to differentiate from sixth sense but keep cyring i guess:popcorn:

i'm not getting blindsided or blindfired, they are however running away from areas they know aren't safe even though they really shouldn't know, this damages my tank destroyer games by telling dummies they can't go out into the middle of nowhere like they used to do, and it makes games boring because nobody will play in interesting but sub optimal ways

did you not read the last paragraph? "detected" and "targeted" are like the same mechanic with different names. Nothing has changed since release to my knowledge other than the name change. But other than that this request sounds kind of selfish and how do you know they dont have sixth sense?

no they are not the same mechanic; detected tells the enemy if they are visible, targeted tells the enemy if they are being directly aimed at

one is far more serious than the other and encourages immediately  backing up

selfish? its a pvp game, i don't want people getting away scot free because of a no skill system

Artillery and most tank destroyers are already the most scrub friendly toys in the box.

Bring back the old detected system delay would be my choice. Not only was it helpful for tanks with a longer aim time but you also knew when arty was aiming at you from above.
