How is XP for mercenary contracts calculated? I feel cheated.

Hello everyone.  I'm just wondering what XP is considered valid XP that is then added to your mercenary contract xp pool?  I'm currently working on the Machine contract and had a match in the T-10.  The contract XP before a match was 395,298.  The after action report shows I earned 19,608 XP from the match.  The issue is that the contract XP only increased by 5,340 which brought my contract XP pool to 400638. 

 

After the match why was my contract XP not 414,906?  What gives?  Am I missing something?

 

I'm on PS4, NA server.

Boosters don't count towards the Op, neither does Gold X3s. Just Base XP, Premium Bonus and Daily Doubles. :great:

I feel your pain. My Machine grind started out poorly when I realised this.

CloneGuy did a video on this before he did his Machine grind. I tested it on my Machine grind and the math is solid. The trick for contracts is to have at least 10-15+ relevant tanks unlocked before the contract begins, more if possible. Just run every tank until you get your daily double on that tank then dont run it again until the next day. Factor in premium and you can reduce the number of games you need to grind though by 66% with PRM+DD or by 50% with just DD. I nearly lost my mind grinding the contract because I only had 5 applicable tanks unlocked when I started. I repurchased some Tiers 9's Id sold like the Bat Chat, Conq and that gave me 2 more tanks that got daily doubles. Unlocked the FV along the grind so that got me 8 to daily double on. Im only a mediocre to average player so the Machine contract became a second job. The Misses wasnt too impressed.

@Spartan2511 - Yeah man I can definitely identify with your feeling of doing the contract becoming a 2nd job and your misses being unimpressed =).  I told myself I wouldn't do another X contract but now that I have your advice regarding the daily double, and all American tanks....I guess I may go for the Chisel.  Thanks for the info!
