Its been a long time singe I got fan mail. But getting messages two days in a roll really makes me feel Im doing something right. Specially when it is from someone in a FB 183 that "complained that I "heated" him to death in my tier eight scout. Ah, fun times.

The person who experiences greatness must have a feeling for the myth he is in. He must reflect what is projected upon him. And he must have a strong sense of the sardonic. This is what uncouples him from belief in his own pretensions. The sardonic is all that permits him to move within himself. Without this quality, even occasional greatness will destroy a man.”

After doing this 1-shot I got a message notification on  screen,  and thought that guy is now salty.

But the message just said "Nice shot gg".

Imagine my surprise.. lol

Those people are rare these days.

Nothing wrong with a bit of hate mail. Means you've done your job. My favorite is 'illegal mods. Reported'. Lols

Same here - one or two a day at the moment.

Nice one yesterday - it read "I feel I must say thank you for your contribution to the match. Not!"  From a player that did 1/4 of the damage I achieved; them driving a Heavy tank that was top tier (I was mid-tier in a Light).  I thought I'd check them out on WOTINFO and appears they have 10K more games than me (over 40K) and a WN8 a third of my own. I know I'm far from being a really good player but Jeez!

I did my usual thing of not replying and blocking, muttering about people with stones in glass-houses under my breath.

A couple of days ago I was pleasantly surprised when I got TWO gg messages after a match, one from a green and another from a red. Strange things are afoot indeed.

Yesterday was returned to earth by a bunch of "noob" "coward" "potato" messages when finishing top of the team with a light tank having received no damage in the match.

Ahhhh so many wonderful memories from thw cod days came flooding back. Even better is the classic response. Simple and elegant.

I do a non emogi smiley face, but the forum automatically turns it into an emogi one :(

If they continue they get it again plus star wars cantina music.

Got one from a "team-mate" which was jealous about to have survived the last on a muppet show of a game with my T-34-88 against Tier VIII's, as he was on a Charioteer and was almost pummeled at the first moment he poked his gun out of cover.

He got a WAY huge number on Eff than in WN8, so i guess i spotted a flag hugger

Some might say i'm not constructive enough... Too bad i'm actually a deconstructivist

I have messaging blocked.  Insults tend to outnumber compliments and I'm not interested.  I know if I've had a good, bad or indifferent game, so...

Had an guy last night sending me hate mail because we lost a game that went down to the wire.  He died two minutes into the game and did next to 0 damage while I had multiple kills and almost 5k damage in a tier 9.  I made a bad play at the end of the game but didn't deserve to be blamed for the loss.

I checked his stats at the end of the game and he has a sub 50% win rate and a 5K personal rating even though he is a 5 year player.  It's usually bad players that talk the most smack.

I’m severely lacking in receiving hate mail this month. I even went as far as to fire nothing but APCR in a tier V match, rammed 2 people and clobbered a 3 on 1 at the end of the match and still got no hate mail....I haven’t harvested enough salt to meet my quota and it makes me sad...

I got my first hate mail in a few years last weekend. Sadly it was in the form of one of those abbreviations or acronyms people use these days and I don't have a clue what it meant (yes it occurred to me as I type this I have the means to find out). I sent them an "LOL. I don't know what that means" hoping they would spell it out for me as I might like it for my own use outside the game but never heard from my new friend again.

I've been getting it from Warships but not really from tanks. I had one a couple days ago where an angry Kagero player acused me of hacking because I "made his controls freeze up" so I could hit him with my Iowa. He "reported" me because of his poor internet connection.

  XBOX ONE

Garage has too many tanks to list now...

My recent favorite came last night. A player in a panther fires twice, hits nothing, doesn't push up with me and my platoon mate, dies first, finishes dead last....

And sends us hatemail telling us how bad we were. Despite me and platoon mate finishing top 5.

Last one I got was in Russian or maybe Polish. Dno. No idea what that means. Responded with a Fat Princess pic.

Remind me of one got a few weeks back; a pair of messages really.  One in Russian, the second alternating poo and pig emojis.

Gotta admire the originality somehow.
