Ok I was doing my usual stat math.  Stage 5, which you can't buy out, is going to be almost impossible for the vast majority of players to get past.  I'm a 50% win rate 5 yr player, so rather average skill-wise.  In medium and heavy American, British, and Mercenary tanks tiers 8-10, I have 1919 battles.  However I got only 6 High Calibers in those games.  That's an average of 1 every 320 games, and I'm expected to do it twice???  Of course some people will have better stats than me, and some worse.  I challenge WG employees to check you own chances this way and think about how hard it would be and how long it would take you unless you got very lucky.  WG, unless you change the requirement, or allow it to be bought out, ( a meney maker for you ) all you will do with this contract is frustrate and anger a large percentage of your player base and generate a great deal of ill will towards WoT Console.  Is that what you want?  Are you listening WG?

A largely skill based requirement like High Caliber medals is much better than some of the luck based requirements in other contacts (like fires and ammoracks). Besides, at least this OP requires HC medals in mediums and heavies unlike the Sharpshooter contract (which requires the same medals, but in light tanks).

Hello Folks!,

I have have a few questions.

1.- Does the Exp. multiplier from the seasonal games stack with the double Exp. first battle win per vehicle and apply to the contract?

2.- Does the Exp. multiplier from the seasonal games stack with the standard Exp. after the first battle win per vehicle and apply to the contract, or is it just the base Exp.?

thank you in advance!

For contracts and Ops counts: base XP + tank Elite/Premium bonus + Premium time bonus + Daily x2.

All other Ops bonuses (like the Summer Bravo x2 or other daily/weekly Ops bonuses etc.) or personal boosts don’t count for contracts or Ops.

Don't rush me, I'm waiting for the last moment!

There are several good options for this Stage 5 challenge. But if you are concerned about getting it done in time, I think you can't go wrong playing the Tier IX British Conqueror. There is no guarantee that you'll get the two HC medals you need for Stage 5, but that tank is very powerful whether you're facing Tier Xs or you're top tier. Also, you can earn XP toward unlocking a Tier X British heavy. A consolation if you somehow come up short.

WG,

How about extending an olive branch to those of us that will struggle with 2 high cals.

Current XP for Stage 5 is 76,800. Update the criteria so that its:

[

((Spotting Damage >= Tank Health) AND (XP >= 76,800) AND (2 High Calibers))

OR

((Spotting Damage >= Tank Health) AND (XP >= 276,800))

]

This way those of us who cant get the 2 HC's can pass the stage by earning an extra 200K XP.

100K XP extra per medal seem like a reasonable penance for not getting the medals. Unicums can breeze the stage and the rest of us can pay for our sins via XP grind.

I don‘t think they are going to change that. They want it to be a tough nut to crack. It also looks like it would become one of the best mercenaries they‘ve released so far, and that‘s why they keep the benchmark high.

Since this looks like a step up from the Sharpshooter. Only camo is less, yet holds 420 meters view range, which is in line with the king of this discipline, the M48 Patton. To top it all of it sports the Conq.‘s L11A1 gun with an pretty good rate of fire. Scary!

I would defend fires and ammo racks as also being skill based, as is High Caliber.  I will concede that those do include more luck than High Caliber.

In the other hand, the best way to get High Caliber is to play a lot more selfish than playing for the win, and I'm not just talking about a cap versus mopping up decision.

That said, I'm not against this requirement as it will be either a skill hurdle or a way for others to support the game with gold. Depending on the price, I might consider paying my way past this if the Chisel wasn't a mercenary tank.

Actually neither do you need to play selfishly, or risking the win. In fact quite the opposite. Over time the matchmaker will often enough drop anyone into games with rather incapable „teammates“ leaving him with the burden to carry the game. It‘s then up to the player to surpass himself.

Like yourself, I take a good look at the stages to see how likely something is to achieve, now I'm no Super uni, but this is what I have. So tough, but within the realms.

Out of the 10 tanks with crews that work for that stage, 6 have High Cali's, 17 across  1271 Battles (75 Battles per), most of those from Tier 8's, But I have 5 tanks (4 tier 10) that have 0 across 112 battles.

Also, Stage 5 on pretty much every contract is the "Challenge" stage, the one that tends to frustratrate players.

I'm an average player and have after 9000 Battles 155 High Calibers. Most of them with Light Tanks and none with the required tanks for this Stage 5.

So I accept the challenge and I will try to become better in these tanks, maybe it will take a lot more battles, but if I achieve it I will drive the Chisel with proud and a satisifying feeling.

If I fail I will at least now in future that these Chisel Driver in my Team must be a good player and hope he will show it again in this battle.

I really like this challenge, there must be some tanks outside which not everybody could get, especially not for money. Good decision WG.

And if you really want that tank, try to become better and work on your skills. The contract will be for sure available again next year, if I fail I will do the same.

And I think within a platoon you could get some support to achieve this medal as well.

It's like in real life where some people think they could get everything for money,

"Nur die Harten kommen in den Garten"

something like "if you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen"

Posters above, in their doom and gloom HC tallies, are counting games played in stock tanks as well as games played in fully-progressed vehicles. It's not as dire as you make it out to be. Practice the tank in which you do the very best damage. On Stage 5 resist the urge to play other tanks. Play that one tank only until you get the 2 HCs.

So I am now on stage 4 of this contract, I just killed a Type 64 light tank in my Knight it has not registered in the count for "Destroy 3 or more Light Tanks in any number of battles".

Has anyone else found this so far?

Strangely I now just killed a SU-100 in the TT Cromwell and that has counted, life is strange.

Stage 2 complete.  Win 2 Games in a row, is usually the most annoying requirement in every contract.

It should be smooth sailing from here on in :)
