I played it a lot last week to get my MOE’s and it felt far from OP.

I did well with it (mostly) but I am competent with French auto loading lights.

So I’m wondering, could it be used for the sharpshooter grind? And more importantly for the 2 high caliber requirements?

3 MoE's: None.

If the Sharpshooter requirements stay the same. But WG should fix them. They should have fixed them before the second posting of that contract.

So maybe that’s why it has come to WGs attention? Because if I had to make a list of 100 tanks needing attention it wouldn’t make that list!

I’m guessing they nerfed it because it made the AMX 12t obsolete but they should’ve just buffed that instead.

Excluding the Rover I would say all tier VI lights need buffs. The light tank rebalance took the view range away from all of them making them fast mediums with low health.

Lights tanks need rebalanced(again)

Update 4.2 and 4.6 were terrible

Currently the AMX-12t and Spyglass are nearly identical.  The Spyglass in no way makes the AMX-12t irrelevant.  The only difference in stats are the camo rating, which the 12t has a bit more.  And the Spyglass has a lower fire chance.  The effective traverse rates are nearly identical, but the Spyglass may be just a tad better on hard terrain.

Either way neither the 12t or the Spyglass are even close to being overpowered.

Trying to understand WGCB reasoning and logic behind nerfs and buffs, will take you down the road to madness. Also the almighty spreadsheet doth it so. :D

Before the nerf the Spyglass had the same gun stats as the 12t while being faster and much more maneuverable and having a few more hit points in exchange for a slightly lower camo rating.  It was easily the best tier 6 light for dealing damage, excelling and shoot at scoot and circle of death.  It earned me High Calibers at a rate 3 to 4 times higher than any other tier 6 light.

Now?  Looks like they have tried to nerf it by makong it turn slower and be less accurate on the move.   Haven't played it enough yet to see how big difference it makes.

Mobility of both vehicles is nearly identical, you almost can't tell in game with good crews.
