Was playing artillery. Red Team arty player sends me group invite. He was a stranger to me. I declined. I assume he was trying to either gather info on where I was going to camp. Anyone have experience like and have opinion/theory?

Maybe he was lonely.  It's hard for most arty players to make friends.

I'm not stealing kills, I'm handing out Confederate medals.

I would think that you can't actually connect, but never tried it.

Don't know but since changing msg settings I have been receiving msgs from red players telling the location of the final player.

In a game a few days ago I was the last green remaining and went to hide and strangely enough a red shortly came straight to my location.

World of tanks Auto lock edition,  because aiming shouldn't be a skill.

That is very disappointing, especially if you had a chance to win. If people assume game is over, "that guy is wasting time," and call out your spot to opponent, it denies A chance to do something fun. A couple hours ago, I won an Assault match on defense -- I was in a M53/55 and the last one alive with 2:30 left on clock. Ended up killing one of 3 reds remaining and hiding until timer expired.

I've gotten messages from Red players before telling me where their last hiding team mate was. Thing is I don't read them until after the match so they do no good.

I think its possible to group chat but not join into the same game as in you can still talk via XBL but not be in a platoon. It shouldn't be that way though

I just recently(on PS4) had a game where I one-shot an enemy AMX 50b with my CGC and he spent the remainder of the match spamming Party invites at me.  I checked the Notifications log on my PS4 afterwards and they had spammed 50+ invites at me.  That was definitely trolling.... it could’ve been your case was also trolling of a different nature and intent

I got one a few days ago saying the deathstar was out of ammo. I almost botched the trench run though. Hit a building and almost got squeezed by him. He then called me out for using heat on him. The irony was not lost, Specially since I was a tier eight scout.
“Greatness is a transitory experience. It is never consistent. It depends in part upon the myth-making imagination of humankind. The person who experiences greatness must have a feeling for the myth he is in. He must reflect what is projected upon him. And he must have a strong sense of the sardonic. This is what uncouples him from belief in his own pretensions. The sardonic is all that permits him to move within himself. Without this quality, even occasional greatness will destroy a man.”

Never accept party invites from strangers because as soon as you do, they can see your IP address and that's no bueno in this day and age..

.

(especially when playing arty - invites can only mean trouble) ;)

I have no clue how he knows all that. Then he booted be offline for 10 minutes when I came back he said not to screw with him again. And now I use Nord VPN lol

Getting a message like that would piss me off and I would report that player to WG and let them decide if that's good for the game.   I can understand frustration to have  tank your grinding locked in the battle for full 15 min, but it does not justify leaking information to the enemy team.

In PS4  you can easily  block or report player from the PS4 player profile, there is "hidden" extra menu for that.  I usually block these players that spam me, but if they send messages with profanity or clear personal insults, I file an abuse report to Sony and let them deal with the person.

That wouldn't work where I live.

All they get from the IP is the name of the ISP I use. Nothing else.

There’s definitely a Block that I used, but the reporting from the profile is only applicable to language, pictures, and content.  You cannot report behavior from there.  There’s no category for “Report Abuse of the Invite system” unfortunately.  I even searched Sony’s Support pages

Ive seen this happen a few times , most enemy team dies with 10 minutes left . Last red player has gotten into a tricky position like where only light tanks can get etc .

Red player messages Green team so the match can end . Wg fault really , who wants to wait 10 minutes to play another battle because the last one is still on going ?

You should be able to go to another battle instead of having to wait . Like you can do in War Thunder .
