It appears as if the Chisel will have Slat Armor. This should be very effective against HEAT but should have no effect on AP and APCR. Will this hold true or are they going to treat is as just regular spaced armor that will have some effect on AP and APCR?

I guess that depends on whether or not your shell hits a slat or passes between them.  Any type of spaced armor still impacts AP/APCR because penetration is recalculated after your shell pierces the first layer.

Stupid spaced armor mechanics, and stupid Venetian Blind Patton.

Dumb stuff like this is souring me on the game.

Spaced armor mechanics are bad enough, now almost all of the Wacky RacesTM mercenary tanks have it, and they look like they grabbed random crap from the nearest junkyard to get it.

Yet these often perform better in-game than tanks designed by vast teams of dedicated professional engineers.

I'm sure manhole covers, thin concrete slabs, and tree trunks would perform better than carefully alloyed steel at Aberdeen Proving Grounds if the Army had tested them.
