In the End it was again just a mess and wasted time for everyone. Kinda dissapointed... Literally feels like the Karelia Ranked fail. You can do better Wargaming.. Or maybe not... 

 

You can buy tanks.  You can also earn points towards summer games Charlie. The rewards are amazing which include gold and if you complete the commander mode seasons, a unique never released before tank

Six more Commander events? Please no!  I thought the news of monthly event modes meant rotation of different modes once a month.  One month is TOGboats, another Lunar, another Core Breach, maybe some new ones...... not more Commander on repeat!  It’s optimized for M/K and it’s unfair to force controller-only players to suffer with it(both attempting to use the UI as Commander and as a Tanker facing off against a M/K enabled player).

If you are going to give away a free premium tank at least give it away in a gamemode that is fun to play. Having to grind this gamemode for a free tank is going to annoy more players than it is pleasing imo.

Please do provide stats after the event of the total players and those that receive the tank. I am very curious as to whether i am by myself with this opinion.

WTH I don't have enough tier 8's & can only rent 6 other tanks & some of them only for GOLD are you effin' serious?

 

I really hope I've got this wrong & will be fine with admitting if I was but you actually expect me to rent or buy back tanks just to play? So for commander mode I need to PAY ACTUAL MONEY TO PLAY IF I DON'T HAVE ENOUGH SILVER? I'm dumbfounded at how ill conceived & greedy it is to ask players(especially new players)to pay so you can get metrics on game play for A MODE NOBODY WANTED?? I can't ever remember my head spinning this much over a god damn video game. I know players are going to tell me to settle down, blah blah blah but what kind of space crack are you smoking in Chicago & where can we all get some to maybe see the thought process behind this garbage?

 

This is what WG wastes their time coming up with INSTEAD OF FIXING KNOWN ISSUES???

Ok honestly feedback since i have now played the mode.

Commander. 

It has improved since last time since i can pick all the OP tanks in my garage to annihilate F2P players

Tanker: Still easy to farm the bots of commander

So I have been playing this evening in Tanker Mode to grind some points and make some progress on the Ops(for all Modes including Commander) and playing Tanker has been great for that.  Every Tanker match nets me some points, some silver, and progression towards the end goal even if it’s a frustrating loss.  I wanted at least to complete the “Win 10 Games as a Tanker” Op before moving on to trying to play as a Commander for a bit.......

But it turns out there’s only ONE OP exclusive to Commander play that earns points: “Have 4 or more of your vehicles survive”!  The only other Op that Commander can get points for is Experienced and that’s available as a Commander OR Tanker.  All the other Point Ops are for Tankers-Only.

At the time of posting this I have played one single match as a Commander.  It was a hard fought victory which I nearly lost and all I got was 771xp and 36k silver.... NO POINTS! No... bloody.. points!  Dealt 3k damage in the tank I possessed for the entire match and my team did all the rest..... and I got no points. Why should I keep playing as a Commander when Tanker is the most logically lucrative path to take?  Where are the points for battlefield performance for the Commanders?!?

I didn’t like Commander Mode at all before today, but I decided to have another go because you’ve finally made the rewards worthwhile..... and now I don’t want to play at all because the actual Commander part straight up isn’t worth it unless you’re lucky enough to have 4 surviving tanks and/or win matches.  Tankers can earn points in every match, win or lose.

Also..... the controls and UI are still atrocious to use with a controller.  It’s optimized for M/K and it’s beyond cumbersome, not to mention confusing AF.  I spent more time trying to figure out how to select a team in garage and trying to figure out how to move them in battle than I spent in actual combat.

Also.... my Favorites filter has been cleared thanks to a bug.  I was in a good mood playing Tanker up until I realized Commander had 99% less rewards and then discovered I have to select a new Favorites list when I got back to Multiplayer.

It is not awarding playing commander and thus i predict that waiting lines for tankers get long - i was timed out couple of times

Happened to me twice. Ai tanks shotting my tank multible times, and I dint know I was spotted

it wasn't the commander it was a skorpion g who shot me unspotted, you can tell because the turret overturned.

Who is this all for? We need to fulfill the contract, we must do the styer, and you still made this mode? What do we have to live in the game for the sake of this tank 8 ur? You do everything so that those who still remain in the game are finally gone.

I'll be honest, I'm not going to play it.  And a "unique" tier 8 tank isn't going to change that.  I can't apply any of this to the Chisel contract and I never have difficulty getting the monthly seasonal game done, so there really isn't any motivation for me to do it.  I've tried both tanker and commander mode before and it was just not that interesting and with the controller really just a bit cumbersome.  Good luck to those who are doing it.

Sad that only a portion of Commanders mode points count towards Summer games Charlie OP. I made around 25 point yesterday and only 5-7 of them were counted towards Charlie games.

Also rewards for Commander are poor compared to Tanker's and Commander mode is less fun. Therefore there are very few commanders so tankers spend alot of time in que and often return to garage without being put into game.

Victories also doesnt count towards Long Haul and Contracts so there are even less incentives to play the mode. You have to chose what's best for you and miss either reward.

 

The fact you actualy have to own 14 Tier 8 tanks is probably the main reason which stop most players from playing as Commander. Why cant we just fill any empty slots or even all of them with random free tanks like before?

You think any1 will bother to buy out Tier 8 tanks to try play as a commander? I highly doubt that.

I am pretty sure all you need is 75 points. So it depents whenever there is enought points can be earned by playing Tanker only.
