this need to be changed. Like now. It has always been an issue, but 2 games in a row repairing orange tracks instead of an ammo rack. No, this has happened too many times, for far too long. I’m no programmer, and I don’t know what the better version would look like, but the repair system needs to be addressed. I know I am not alone in this.

Hello, the repair wheel fixes whatever module you select. Be sure you are selecting the correct item that you wish to be fixed. :honoring:

I think thats one of the main problems. If you are getting shot at by a few people and need to fix a module to get away and survive, you can accidentally hit the wrong module. It should be updated a bit to make it easier to select the most damaged module.

Max, Max, Max.....with all of the repair wheel threads that complained about it, that's sad.  Just because WG refuses to think outside of the wheel, doesn't mean the poster is not correct.  Most of us have probably just quit beating our heads against a brick wall.
I'm just saying.....

One thing that would help that repair wheel would be so make it so it can't automatically repair a module that is only damaged. Most of the time when we use it there is some sort of game induced duress involved and it is way on too easy to get the timing of the sequence for what you want to happen out of sync. The end result is a damaged module being repaired instead of the destroyed one you were in bad need of at the moment. Something else that would be handy would be the cool down feature on consumables so when the wrong thing gets repaired so long as you survived it can be fixed later.

They tried to fix the wheels of fortune few times without success. And the last one was just an epic fail, requiring to revert back. So the repair/heal/communication wheels are really bad but they still can be worse.

In my view the better way would that the wheels to just open a custom list to choose, plus additional button to select. And the custom list means - the players to have a preferences to choose the list content and order. Yes it will be slower but at least you can choose the best options to be on the top rows and the errors will be close to zero.

Of course this eventually could be a choice for the user to use such list or standard wheels of fortune.

Don't rush me, I'm waiting for the last moment!

'Death by Repair Wheel' is something I experience every couple of days. I've started running large repair kits so I can one click repair in the heat of battle. It's almost like WG want you to spend the extra 15k silver.

So rather than slag off a system I find hard to use though it is 'working as intended', I'd suggest that WG create a test area where you can repeatably practice repairing modules or reviving crew members. Maybe this could be in Proving Grounds?

For example when quickly reviving your driver or gunner, because the UI icons look so similar I have to pause, think, study the icons and select (I'm usually dead at this point). Having a place where I could practice this would get this action into muscle memory and I'd feel more confident with this task in future.

I have died trying to use the wheel, so I rarely use it.  If I can't use X, Y, B, or A buttons to fix the problem, then it usually goes unfixed.
I'm just saying.....

all you need is a priority list that players can customize. IE amo rack > broken tracks > broken gun > broken engine > broken turret ring > damaged gun > damaged engine > damaged turret ring > ect so you can just hit X in the heat of the moment and know what it will fix, that way you can choose what you want fixed in a set order or "hold X" and do it the way it is now

max, I do appreciate the response, I know you sort through about a million of these a day. I know that the repair wheel fixes the highlighted feature, however in the heat of battle, as mentioned by a few commenters here, it can very easily be misused with catastrophic results. I think the smotedown guy who posted last may be onto something there, a priority system. I really don’t know what the best answer is, but it is a perennial issue that needs some adjustments. Just my (and a few others obviously) opinion.

Wheel is not broken.  Use premium consumables. Problem solved.

They have fixed the Repair Wheel multiple times. Unfortunately they used the Repair Wheel to fix the Repair Wheel so they kept selecting “Make new Premium tank” or “Nerf Super Pershing” by mistake instead.

WG can you give me some lipstick to have in my tank? Because I want to look pretty the next time the repair wheel screw$ me!

I pressed and pointed 3 times or something, and it was ignored. Then I didn't bother, I knew I was going to get wrecked.

Max, I’ve lost count of how many times that I’ve selected the ‘correct’ item to be fixed only to have the incorrect item fixed or nothing fixed at all.

A lot of the time I have to operate the repair wheel multiple times for it to work

For me the solution is simple, I only use BIG consumables...

Gives a bonus and when arty hits 1 pack is enough for all that is broken...

This has become my go to solution as well. Sure it costs 20,000 silver if you have to use it but the passive boost and lack of repair wheel issues make it worth it. Having enough silver to replace them nearly endlessly in the bank helps too
