Because wargaming made them too good at their job.

Just something I've seen the bots can see you through walls and things and of they do they all start shooting at you all at once if you can get a rabbit to get there attention the rest of the team can flank them but they need to stay unspotted.

It’s just one of the “standard” hacks for the bots in this game (WS and PG too).
Don't rush me, I'm waiting for the last moment!

Unspotted, not targeted, outside of spotting range (check the white circle on the mini map). Yup, seems legit. :D

If anyone is curious to witness cheating AI in Proving Grounds I can tell you exactly how to replicate conditions....

In Hunt the E100, get to the part where you reach the T34.  Let the Löwe kill the arty and let him kill the Medium escort.  Then swing wide out to the right and get the T34 on the outside of your detection circle...  Once you’ve been spotted, even if you go unspotted, his gun will continue to follow you and fire regardless of whether or not you’ve been respotted.

WoT has been using bots throughout this game, in all modes and in all tiers, for months if not years. But, as is always the case, the WoT apologists will tell you to believe them and not your own eyes.

My personal favorite recent experience was getting blind arty hit not once but TWICE in a row at the end of a game. Just me and the arty. Last two tanks standing. His last teammate had been dead for about 30 seconds. I'm undetected and looking for arty. Blam. Direct hit. I'm half dead. Get myself repaired and moving, zigging and zagging in my tank, making sure not to knock down any trees or go through any water. Blam. Direct hit. Dead. End of game. Could you make it any more obvious?

Maybe there is a bigger issue going on here. Sometimes, I wonder whether there is a cultural disconnect between a Russian led company (Wargaming) and its predominantly American playerbase. Americans can accept pretty much anything, regardless of how scandalous, as long as they aren't also being lied to. What they have never been able to accept is dishonestly. Hence the phrase "The cover-up is always worse than the crime." Wargaming could just tell us what's really going on and we'd all take a little to while to digest it and then move on. No big deal. In contrast, hiding everything actually makes it a big deal.

Could be but...you guys know commanders can take control of the tanks right?

were you running 6th? Both times in the video when you are hit was after firing which afaik the white line does not take into account. It is logical a tank close to the line would spot you after firing. further it would negate cover from brush based on your distance from it in the second case.

Running 6th? Unless you were all we know from that video is that you were not able to spot the tank that spotted you.

When a person resorts to attacking the other person rather than focusing on the issue (aka argumentum ad hominem), it becomes pretty clear they have nothing else to contribute and are wrong.

Yes I have sixth sense. Neither sixth sense or detected went off for either shot.

Nor had I recently been spotted. It had been a good 3 mins since I had been last spotted and I had moved about 200m from my last spotted position.

It's ok, other people understood what actually happened in this video. :) And/or simply read I was out of spotting range.

I'd have to agree then it does sound like something is fishy.

Not sure if its the bots shooting you when they shouldn't or a bug with them tripping your alerts properly.

You can claim you were out of spotting range but unless you corroborate that with a video showing the position of the other tanks we as the viewers of your video do not know that.

There were 5 tanks on the enemy team. We do know there were at least 3 on the cap. We do not know where the other two were.
