I recently finally decided to move my crew back down into the Conqueror from the S. Conqueror, and the way I see it I'll likely have earned 210k XP in the tier IX Conqueror before I've finished the Chisel Contract, so I'm curious if it is or isn't worth buying the FV215b once I research it. From what I can tell the FV215b does seem to have rather good armor, very good mobility (for a heavy), and a great gun with the best gun handling of the three British heavies, but its mediocre seven degrees of gun depression, very limited 35 rounds of ammunition, and glaring weak point when sidescraping makes the tank much less appealing (even though I normally really enjoy tanks with rear mounted turrets, like the VK 72.01). So, for those of you who own one would you say it's worth getting, or should I ignore it and be content with the Chieftain?

With all it’s weak points it’s still great tank.

People think it's not that good, so you'll probably love it

You'll probably like it more than the S. Conq. It's less of a one trick pony. The main flaw is lack of ammo. I think it only carries around 35 rounds. You also can't run food on it like you can in the Chieftain or Sconq as you will catch fire pretty much every battle.

Does it catch on fire often enough to require a fire extinguisher even if you already have the firefighting perk though?

100% get it. The most fun of the 3 imo. I run food on mine with preventative maintenance and firefighting. You could also train jack of all trades + pain tolerance and not run a med kit.

Out of curiosity, what makes the FV215b the most fun of the three for you?

I have all 3, the 215b is the only one I haven’t really played since I don’t have a crew trained for it yet. I’ve been wondering if it’s worth playing myself

While not a super-uni opinion, I have all three and play all three. The 215b is actually better than its reputation. You have to work a bit to get the best results,  and my biggest knock is the relatively low damage per pen. This is offset by the very quick reload, laser like accuracy and the ability to pen. I think it is worth your time and a decent tank. Not as flashy as the other two, but in its own way a fun tank to play. Sometimes you catch people clearly confusing you with the Deathstar too. Good times!

Yes. I have both Firefighting and Preventive Maintenance, I'm using Automatic Fire Extinquisher and I've even using Fill Fuel Tanks with CO2 equipment (only tank in this game I've ever used this) and it still catches fire relatively often... so using Food would be madness :)

This. It's often underrated tank, better than most people think.

Very underrated tank. But i enjoy it the most out of the 3 uk heavies..... only thing is its low ammocount, but that is only an issue every 1 in 50 games or so...

i say totally worth it, but then again all uk heavies are, they warrent their own crew per tank

Yes. Unlike the Super Conq it is actually interesting to play. The armour isn't great, the tank is huge and has low shell capacity but its unique playstyle wise and the gun is second to none. I'm also yet to see a tank yolo it and survive due to the amazing dpm and 2500 hp, aside from either a waffle or 183 (if the 215b is already partially damaged with regards the 183)

My WoT tank reviews

If you enjoy them please do share/sub. Thanks.

I'm going up this line. Currentlyat tier 8. Am curious as to why the S.Conqueror is a one trick pony?

I reaquired the 215b during the last tier X sale and have been enjoying it quite a bit, last battle I bounced 5k damage from the turret while defending the hill on Prok and the battle ended up being an ace. It is much better and more fun than I remember it the last time I owned it around 3 yrs ago. If you enjoy rear mounted turrets then I would say go for it, you'll probably like it.

Same here, I have a crew in it that only has 6s and bia on it. The few games I've played in it have been fun though, I see potential in the 215b :)

its great. i like better than the chief and s.conq . its a good all around tank. side scrape like a boss in it. it can reliably hit what you aim at and pen. it can catch fire. is i simply cary a fire ext. and the perk which reduces chance of fire.
