I am looking to get a new premium tank from the trade in program.  I earned the Fatherland during its Op but rarely play it, and due to its high gold amount it seems to be the perfect tank for me to trade in.  With the trade in and the gold I already have, I'll have a total of 9,772 for the new premium tank. The question is which one?

My usual play style is spotting, flanking, supporting and sniping. I prefer speed over firepower.  It doesn't have to be the fastest tank, just overall mobility with good traverse (turret and tracks).  And of course I'd like the gun to have a decent punch. Lights and mediums would obviously fit best.  I'm leaning towards one of the mercenary light tanks but here's a list all the tanks I'm considering:

T.A.N.K
Turtle
M41B Brazilian Bulldog
Type 62
T-44-100
Banshee Comet
Legion 59-Patton
Senshi STA-2

So any suggestions? It doesn't have to be one on my list above.  It doesn't even have to be my aforementioned play style. Tell me I'm crazy and I should be going after something else. Let me know of any better options.  What are the best premium tanks that are considered worth the purchase and most importantly the most fun?

The TANK/turtle is quite fun. I wouldn't call it the best tier 8 light, but with the 105mm derp on it it can be pretty funny. It's a little slow for a light, and can be inconsistent but a worthwhile purchase.

The STA2, Banshee and Type 62 are also decent, but aren't as unique.

Tank/turtle have a 122mm derp. Not a 105.

Didn't realize til just now that the Turtle and T.A.N.K we're the same.
Worldoftanksxboxguide.com gives the Turtle the edge with a faster reload and better traverse dispite the T.A.N.K. looking "cooler".

Some of these trade in possibilities are horrible. For example, why would anyone trade for the now full priced Polish 50TP when they could have got it 50% off just a couple weeks ago? Same goes for the Italian Progetto. I got both 50% off and didn't have to trade in anything for pennies on the dollar. The only time this program ever makes sense is if you're trading away a tank that you absolutely hate and if you're trading for a tank that absolutely never goes on sale.

So 1 vote for the Turtle and 1 vote for avoiding the trade-in program all together.

Both the Senshi/STA-2 and T-44-100 are good tanks.  I love the Turtle myself.

A lot are horrible--yeah particularly if you can get a bundle or about 50 percent off.  But I feel I should point out that rarely is 50 percent really 50 percent.  Essentially, if you get a tank for 50 percent and then trade it for 50 percent, you haven't lost much--rented really--so long as the tank you are getting is not regularly 50 percent off.

So I trade tanks I bought at 50 percent and now don't care for.  I tend to trade stuff I get in war chests--some tanks I look at as just a gold chest.  Also, bundle purchasing at discount.  I've traded versions of the Chrysler K several times.  Just depends on the maths.  I am sure there are some that trade in tanks they win in contests.

Unfortunately, the offerings for tanks to trade for are quite pitiful anymore.  I have not engaged in a trade in quite some time because of it.  If WG wants me to spend some gold, they need to put some tanks up.

From your list, I can recommend the Turtle (fun scout with hilarious derpy moments), the Type 62 (just overall a nice machine), the T-44-100 (nothing spectacular, but no weaknesses, just a very smooth tank) and the stock Comet (very underrated fast medium).

Other premiums I enjoy that match your description include the AMX Chaffee, Progetto M35 and recently the T92 (US light tank) and the CDA Audace.

they should include lower tiers 3,4,5,6 into the program, higher tiers are overpopulated anyway...

3 MOE: IS-6 - Aufkl Panther - Tiger 131 - Jackson - Pz.V/IV.

If you buy chests it might be worth holding onto as you'd be quids in if you got a dupe. Only have experience of Banshee and Bulldog really and the former is my fave.

T-44-100 would be a good choice, great camo good view range and pretty good gun and makes good silver.

From.your list

T.A.N.K - not as good as the nearly identical Turtle. I think Pandogga and Cosmic Carrie love this and have youtube vids.
Turtle - fun, but I hate the  derpy gun.

Type 62  - love it
T-44-100   - love it
Banshee Comet   - love it
Legion.59-Patton  - was earnable. View range is good, but turret tumour wrecks the camo rating.
Senshi STA-2 - not played it enough to decide.

However check the prices. Tier 7s and senshi are cheap, trading doesn't give refunds. You want 8k ish tanks ...

STA-2 is one of the highest performing tier 8 premiums by global stats.  The Senshi version has permanent camo.

To complicate matters, not that it's my play style, but the KV-5 is also sitting there on the trade up list. I've always heard good things about it.

Also, with daily ops and without Mentor it's a brilliant crew trainer.

I would like to bundle my seal clubbing premiums for a tier 8 .  They should allow us to bundle tier 5’s and below .
