I'm frankly not a people person and recently mentioned something about bad experiences on another thread.

Okay so some folks said give it a chance and try again. I took that advice and I have to say I was very surprised! I got to platoon with a friend and had an absolute blast of a time! Reminded me of the days of bar hoping with a couple of buddies settling in at a local pub for a few iced cold barley pops. I hadn't platooned but a couple of times in the past and yea it was pretty terrible but hey in this last experience it was totally AWESOME!

In fact it was so much fun I can't wait till we get a chance to do it again!

It was amazingly fun even though I'm pretty sure my platoon mate took pity on me due fact he gets I am blind as a senior bat with no radar wearing coke bottle glasses blind folded.

It was a lot of fun and I will hopefully get to try this new experience a bit more! Hey just wanted to share a more positive experience about the game and a great platoon mate! I mean seriously, we see so much negative things in life it's good to share the positives!

WOT! Thanks for tanks!

If you're on Xbox You're welcome to join me, I'm online most nights either playing solo or with other JOCO members. We always have a blast, it's also nice to have someone on your team you can count on.

Thanks for sharing.

Uncheck that "Platoon only chat" box, friends!  It makes for a much richer experience when you can find people to join up with.

Platooning is great, when the people you platoon with are unselfish, respectful, and funny.  Whoa, watch out!  Loads of fun and laughs:)

most people I platoon with are anywhere from 5-25 years younger than me so getting roasted for being the old fart can be a lot of fun,...to a point:teethhappy:

I’ve played with a handful of guys older than my 50 years, the oldest was 68 and he is pretty darn good at tanks (about 2200 WN8):honoring:

I’ve been thrown off bridges, pushed into LOF, drowned, and pushed over cliffs, all by my friends.  Of course everything is hysterical when your up by 8 tanks:teethhappy:

Here’s a funny story from recent weeks.  About two weeks ago we were up like 7 tanks on fjords and I’m shooting at a red trying to kill himself in the water, THEN one of my platoonmate pushes my chisel into the drink on the western part of the map.  The whole platoon burst out laughing but then something truly amazing happened and no one could play for like 5 minutes because everyone burst into ridiculously uncontrollable laughter.  A greenie in a machine had launched himself into the water right after I was pushed but his tank submarined under my chisel and forced me back up so I didn’t drown:teethhappy::D:teethhappy:

I only wish I had thought to record it and that I had the know how to post something like that.   Moments like that and I’m like, yep, that’s why I love this game so much.

Not War?!?! Lol I do not specifically remember that, but I am old. Funny thing was, as focused as we were on getting ready for comps (that never, ever happened!!) we still had many nights of laughing so hard breathing was impossible - great times! :great:

You are truly missing out on the greatest party of the game.  (Party is a phone typo where I meant to put "part" but it works so well I'm leaving it there.)

Get a decent headset off Amazon for $20 or less, uncheck the "platoon only" box under audio options, and say a few words at the start of each game.  Find someone else with a mic and a good attitude and offer to join forces.

The best time I ever had was during a roughly ten game losing streak with four others from around the world.  Hours of laughing our fool heads off.  Plenty of good times while winning, too, but I remember this because I'm generally a pretty competitive guy, and this was a huge losing streak, yet I almost didn't want any wins that might spoil the fun we were having.

It’s about the only way I’ll play, anymore. One or two friends make it worthwhile.
