the el halluf meta has become stale and plays badly

every map its the same; 90% of tanks go north around this tiny narrow road even if they are bottom tier, not heavies, and the artillery can't help them....infact that's probably why they go up there because they're scared of arty

 

the top of the map should be harder to pass through and more open to shots from the middle. the meta needs some invigoration on this map. once upon a time people would actually use more than 10% of the map and snipe and scout in the middle of the map but nope; everyone into the tiny top corner

A1 top corner is the place to be. If you know this map that is where you go. Like it or not it is the key to victory or defeat. However with the vast catalogue of maps we players surely would not be bored? After all there are so many better maps?

Anyone remember the original El Haluf...it was really bad.

A lot of the maps have become stale lately.  Hopefully they are working on something new.

I have no issues with this map.  If they make changes, they should keep the current version and give the revision a new name.

that's why i am suggesting changing the map or removing it; i want to have fun not just win

Most of this is just wrong, but I will agree that most individuals go to the corner and the corner does not take up a large portion of the map.  They should expand the size of this corner--add another lane for flanking about in the corner.  The middle is a wasteland and should be reduced in favor of expanding the corner.  

 

Arty does in fact have good shots into the area and has the opportunity to hit multiple tanks at once.  Additionally, if the arty moves up instead of sitting at spawn, you can have some wonderful games nailing unsuspecting individuals on the corners.  

 

Also, I liked the old El Halluf because it had some great positions for shooting people at the corner.  It is better now though.

I love el haluf, when my teammates actually show up at that corner instead of trying to snipe tanks they can't see from base.

 

t95 with 17 shots and zero hits I'm talking about you

any map with only 1 place to go is by definition a bad map

Many historical battles were fought in choke points.  Not necessarily tank battles, but this is a game and not a simulation.

 

Also, I enjoy El Halluf and would welcome another similar map.  

 

Variety is the spice.

I don’t mind El Halluf, Ardennes and Nomonhan are the absolute worst. Literally no strategy whatsoever and they feel like they were designed by a 2 year-old with a crayon.
