So I had just got this personal offer the other day for 4,050 gold. I've been eyeing this tank for quite some time but never had the time nor the immediate interest in it. What do you all think of it? Is it worth the price and if so, would the Centennial be a preferable variant?

It aint worth a damn in my opinion. Giant cupola negates its turret armour and its dpm is tragic. Its just completely  outclassed by many other british mediums.

I believe the British medium is worth a look. The Centennial has the sandbags as spaced armor, so that is a plus. Also, probably one of the sharpest looking tanks even now. Overall, the tank is a decent and enjoyable medium, but has the glaring weak spot on top of the turret. Still, at that price, I would snatch it up.

I have the Centennial.

I also have the 4202P and the Atomic.

Both the 4202P and the Atomic outclass the Centennial, although the Centennial isn’t totally worthless. It’s just not as good as those other two

I have the Centennial and although its a good tank with great turret armour, it means nothing due to the huge capola it has that's visible from space even when hull down.

Its probably worth it for that price with the hope it will someday get a buff to the turret but just play way off the first line. As people have said though, the FV4202 and any of the centurions (inc the billybob haunted tank thingy) and Caernarvon AX, are better in every way: better guns, actual better turrets, etc etc

if it was 5 gold i may consider it.  otherwise it's pretty mediocre compared to every thing else nowadays.

only good for collectors .

It doesnt even have any actuall turret armour. Almost any premm shell can pen it right in front.

It's a decent tank, but nothing I would spend money on. Success is highly dependent on the opposing players, if they know how to hit your weak spot you won't have a lot of fun.

I would go for the Centennial for looks and the additional spaced armor.

That's simply not true.

This. There are many other mediums that are way better than this. Powercreeped, unfortunately. Atomic Centurion is much better tank.

I don't think the Centennial is worth it. It lacks mobility and rof. The armour can be trolly at times, but it isn't enough. I don't have the unskinned version, but think it is worse than the Centennial because the weakspots are even.more exposed without the spaced armour.

This doesn't mean that you can't make it work, or that you can't have fun in it. But when I play the Centennial I often wish I was in a Centurion. It seems good that it is 50% off, but you might find a better deal for a better tank in the Black Friday sales. Also don't forget that the Centennial was earnable for free with the extra armour, so maybe it isn't that much of a bargain. I hope you enjoy it if you do get it though.

I´ve been using my Chieftain/T95 recently as it counts towards the Sharpshooter contract. Got it for free during a earn OP a couple of years ago.

As mentioned by the others, it´s slow, it has a huge weak spot on the turret and the DPM is meh. On the plus side it´s a darn good looking tank (if you can see past the cupola on the turret) and the armor is ok-ish (occasional bounce) when top tier. The Centurion variants are the better choice in my opinion.

I only ever use my Centennial for the x2 for contracts or crew training. Buy the Fv or any Centurion over this tank.

I have the Centennial which I actually really like, it's just a shame about the size of the cupola on top. The gun dpm is really slow as well.

I also have the atomic which I think is a much better tank overall, so, although I really really like the Centennial, if I could pick only one, it would be the atomic.

The Centennial is just very average. It's capable of fighting at it's tier just fine but it's not going to scare anyone and it's not likely going to carry a match. I would compare it to a Pershing that's a bit worse in every regard. It doesn't follow the play style of the British mediums at all

Why does it have such horrible camo values for a medium?

Got one from an op. Used it a bit for the Machine contract. Hated every minute. Didn't seem to have any redeeming features. Summary: Save your cash for something else.

I earned mine back when the earn ops required you to do stages of xp earned and so it was free. I would not buy the thing because it just does not do anything very well. The PMM American T95E2 is better than this tank IMO if that tells you anything.

If it was the centennial version then maybe, but not the standard Chieftain T95. It is beyond mediocre.

It's rather large. It's a Chieftain hull.

IMHO the giant tumor on top of it's turret negates any positive attributes the tank would have otherwise. It's not a bad tank all in all and it has a very nicely shaped turret that is great a deflecting rounds but it just has that giant weak spot on top that is so hard to miss. As others have said it is a very sharp looking tank and it can do well but that Commanders cupola really needs some rework.
