It’s simple:

can’t manage to do a single point of damage, spotting, or tracking damage? Catch a 12-hour ban from high-tier matches

example) if I eat paste, contribute nothing as a top tier in my tier 9 tank, and ruin the game for the rest of my hard-working team, I deserve a 12-hour ban from tier 9+ matchmaking.

this would also help balance games at higher tiers by preventing bad players who have yet to learn the game from infesting tiers 9 and 10, which are supposed to be the most competitive tiers in the game. As it stands right now, the biggest problem (besides player retention) is the multitude of people failing their way to tier 10 and something needs to be done about it.

What i would get a ban if my kids needed help with something just after i start a match?    real world comes well before a video game

I agree with the intentions behind the statement, but as someone who has an internet that can on occasion be temperamental, I am sympathetic to situations outside of our control. I had a game about a week ago where I got booted right at the get go. It was only blind luck that I was able to get back up and running before the match ended. It was actually kind of funny, I was so far in the rear and just an artillery and I were alive. The dead tankers were all cursing my idle tank when I got back. Pulled out a win amazingly enough. I digress...that was a rare example, if I get booted from the internet I roll a triple 0 on occasion I’m sure. Sucks but it’s life, however I’ve never done it 3 games in a row, after twice of being kicked I just play something offline.

Imagine you drive a russian heavy tank in Prokhorovka, the light tanks of your team decides not to do a thing, you get outspoted while moving into a proper position and every single shot landing on you penns perfectly sending you out to the garage.

In that situation, being temporarily banned would add nothing but insult at the injury, and is WAY more frequent than your special "skilled" mind can imagine, my dear and re-rolled OP.

Some people have really short span memory and it shows, Getting back the nocive system from Halo Reach would cut in half the already sparce server population.

Some might say i'm not constructive enough... Too bad i'm actually a deconstructivist

^^^^^ +1 Exactly its a game. Took me alot of games to get my 1st kill. I deleted and re-installed, During beta 3 or 4 times in frustration. Didnt learn the basics for 3000ish games. Pens, Armor, Weakspots, Spotting, Detecting, Maps, Routes, Positions, Firing lanes, Choke points, Camo, etc. Then you add in real life with that. This is a game regardless of how.competitive, Someone thinks it should be. Nobody can be forced to play any certain way, But within their own comfort zone. The more they learn, The braver they get. Takes 5k games to get a true understanding of this learning curve. All that will definitely be changing, With this loaded dice event.  FYI: Tier 10 premiums are here to stay. Won't be failing their way anymore. They just convert xp. Buy 1 tank a churchill 3 and play 1000 games. Only tank they need to buy or play. To get a shiny tier 10 premium. Just think, If they ever port those tier 9 premiums, I can't wait, T55A or AE-Phase 1.  Nobody will ever need to grind any tanks. They can buy any tier they want.

+1 Now thats getting abit more realistic, But the ban is still to severe. Maybe lower it to 30 min. I remember playing with a guy that only had 2 tanks before.

Another approach with the same intent, would be the implement a minimum “personal rating” block on playing tiers 9 & 10.  You could research and buy tanks as much as you like,  but you wouldn’t be able to play these tiers in multiplayer mode if your personal rating was below a given threshold.

(Note I am saying personal rating, not win rate).

This would encourage players to get technically better at the game in the lower tiers to “unlock” tier 9 and 10 game play and avoids the issue that everyone can have a bad game where they do zero damage.

now this would be a good input but!  i am by no means a terrible player i have my bad days just as much as good  when i get triple 0's across the board its because i got one shot  by arty or something else (it happens) or  RNG is not om my side that day rounds that should pen dont  so this is a terrible idea by all means

if you roll triple zeroes three games in a row, you simply shouldn’t be playing period.

lol don't they already penalize players if they don't participate by moving?
I mean no xp , loss of silver an any multiplier you have equipped, repair costs. So now if your having crap games we'll penalize you for that . Next you'll want to penalize players for each M.O.E mark

then you go play lower tiers for the evening. don't see an issue with that.

if you make a habit of dropping out early to tend to things, maybe you shouldn't be playing a multiplayer team based game at the highest level it has to offer?

if its only occasionally, then you don't have much to worry about do you?

and ftr. it takes serious effort, or a serious lack of awareness or lack of skill to acquire triple zeros.

literally click forward, auto lock fire on the move and aren't going to get zeros.

there should be a challenge, or a boss level in this game to play tier x.

MOST games, have a requirement to go to the next level. I'm not asking for stats requirement. Try as many times as you'd like too. BUT there should be a level, a mission, SOMETHING that says 'ok, you get it' and can pass to the next tier.

It kind of blows my mind that there are zero requirements to move up the tiers. You can literally fail HARD all the way to the last level?

It doesn't make any sense. Think about it.

Not something I worry about personally.

Success is the ability to go from one failure to another with no loss of enthusiasm

I have spent the entire 15 min battle aggressively harassing and threatening my flank in a light, keeping enemy turrets locked on me, instead of my damage dealing teammates, bluffing arty into thinking I'm coming for him so he spends the next 3 min waiting to shotgun me, instead of firing at my slow, glass cannons, circle strafing heavies while my rounds ping of his paint, just to keep him from advancing on my team's vulnerable flank and ended up with triple zeroes on a winning team for my efforts...a ban for that would have been awesome!  This is definitely an exception to the rule, but, man,  I don't think people TRY for triple zeroes...besides, next time they may be on the red team!
