In the Modules section, under the Firepower section

Can the Standard Shell Damage be changed to not be an average of all shell types?

For example, the 390 alpha 105mm M48A5 Patton's gun has a listed *Standard Shell Damage* of 420.

In Packages, within Details it list 390/390/480.   Can those #' be put in the Firepower section instead?

Some people claim Ensk should be tier restricted.   I don't believe their lies.

Imagine if this forum had only players who actually win more than lose trying to tell others how to play. Would be the best forum ever. Instead, we have a bunch of bad advice from players who lose more often than not trying to tell their betters how to play their tanks.

The reason it's an average is as it's the value used to calculate your "Firepower" rating. Using the average off all 3 rounds is the best option to compare tanks when there are several different rounds types that tanks can equip. :honoring:

Would be nice to have accurate information presented in game.  Players who are more casual or who do not check on stats from 3rd party sites commonly complain about the inaccuracy of false information provided within the game itself of vehicle characteristics.

I have three apples for sale. They are all different flavors and different sizes. I'll average the weight and flavors of all of them so you can more effectively decide wich one you want to purchase.

To continue this. You have multiple bags that each contain 3 different apples. To be able to compare the different bags of apples, you weight the bag. Bag 1 weights 5 pounds. Bag 2 weights 5.3 pounds, etc.

Using the weight of the contents allows you to compare the different bags of apples. :great:

The tank is the bag, the 3 different apples are the 3 rounds of ammo. :honoring:

Tank is the bag? And ammo is apples? Thought we are playing armored warfare here and all this time we're throwing apples at each other.

Hey Max, sorry to hijack the OP topic but wanted to inquire about data shown on the after battle results screen. I am not sure if you have played WOWS or not but they rolled out a brand new after battle results screen yesterday and it is excellent. It would be awesome if that could make it over here to WOT. It displays the silver, XP, crew XP breakdown side by side and shows both with and without premium time. This would finally be able to lay the crew XP calculator and all the other XP calculators to rest as it is presented right there on the screen.

Okay, just tossing it out there to see if you can check it out and give your opinion.

The problem with this method is that it includes HE shell damage, which is a shell type generally not used on anything that’s not artillery or a derp gun howitzer. This inflates the number by raising the average damage up.

How is that causing a problem? It's a rating, not the damage stats. The fact it includes HE is what allows you to make comparisons against all tanks, even against Derp style tanks.

Out of all the HE shells that do some amount of damage, what's the average damage on the M48's 105mm HE shell?   Something far less than 480?

If there's a quick way to find alpha for all packages , that does not involve a calculator or doing math in one's head, then I'm missing it.

P26/40 Italian tank for example,  there's no Details option to quickly find the damage per shell type on the stock gun, the stock package goes with Tank Info instead of Details.

A few extra steps and math would then needed to be done by users to make a comparison with the next gun.
