Yea you're right.  Silly me what was I thinking.  Maybe the game should be +5/-5 for matchmaking since everything can potentially kill you just as dead.

It's completely reasonable to debate people with different opinions.  But if you can't understand the issues being presented then that's on your part.

on the contrary, you have to play like a moron to NOT get crapped on. (hiding behind a rock all game, camping base, camping 500 meters from the front in heavies, hiding under a bridge, and just generally contributing nothing to the game.)

there are maybe 5 maps where there is significant enough amounts of arty cover to remain combat effective when not in a light tank.

Amen.  It's how I see it too.

Arty-free games seem to me more free-flowing and with a greater variety of tactics and initiative shown by players.  Also more dramatic and climactic.

No armor on the turret though.

See how much sense it makes if you pick one particular feature and pretend it's the only one that counts?

Did I say that arty was identical to a Machine? What's your point?

How is Satellite View simply just "different"?

Lobbing shells over hills from the spawn, at targets out of render range but are yet still rendering in Satellite VIew and onto some of the thinnest plates of armor most tanks have - that's simply "just different"?

Why not special "tank" class where players can set up stationary Anti-Tank guns, that are 100% concealed until enemy tanks are in proximity spot range or spotted for a brief time after firing? Players can even set these Anti-Tank guns outside of the normal play area  for other vehicles and even in areas blocked off by invisible walls?  It would take "skill" to put these where there's line of sight and in areas tanks usually go.

Or how about a  class that can use  motorcycles to  set-up landmines that go off right under the thinnest armor tanks have (with bonus remote detonation ability to set-off the mines too)?  Other players can detect these landmines by driving over them and having them blow up underneath their tank/tracks.

^ Both those "ideas" also "nothing special" but instead "just different"?

Some people claim Ensk should be tier restricted.   I don't believe their lies.

Imagine if this forum had only players who actually win more than lose trying to tell others how to play. Would be the best forum ever. Instead, we have a bunch of bad advice from players who lose more often than not trying to tell their betters how to play their tanks.

How do you counter an unspotted death star that just "clicked" u for all your hp? The line of sight argument isnt valid.

How many times do you get one shot by arty? Every 30th game?

I have been one shot by arty and by a death star/[edited]barn several times. I have the death star and i grinded lots of arty. From my experince my death star does far more oneshots then arty.

See I knew it a perfect example of controlling the parameters of a discussion to control the outcome.

Hey op the Deathstar shoots a 183 mm L4 cannon, if it points its cannon into an arc air shot toward the red team, in this game will that shot come out of the sky, or will it hit where the bear craps in the woods when no one is there?

But thanks for your scenerio of red team teamwork play.

I would prefer if they just balanced Arty. They could do almost anything and it would probably improve Arty from it's current position. They need to come to terms with the fact most people have some beef with how current Arty works.

MOEs so I can pretend like they matter

No the discussion is about direct line of sight engagements vs non line of sight engagements.  You are bringing up vehicles which are overpowered which are direct LOS engagement tanks (non arty) to justify that there shouldn't be a discussion of balance regarding vehicles which deal damage without maintaining any LOS, and that can deal damage outside of the normal render distance.

Artillery is awful for game balance. I would remove artillery in a heartbeat if I had the choice. After unlocking them all and playing all but 2 of them, I can say that they're not needed in a healthy meta. My most enjoyable games are matches with no arty.

All they need to do is nerf their pen to like whatever the waffles gun shield is, increase rate of fire and nerf alpha.

They we be better at digging out enemies and wouldnt have ridiculous alpha strikes and would do appreciable damage over time.

Disagree, what would be the point of playing arty without the hoooge damage potential?  That's the whole point of the class, shockingly bad reload/accurracy for the alpha trade off of a successful strike.

Arty on pc got nerfed to hell, why anyone would want to play an M53/55 now for example is beyond me, an alpha nerf is just appeasing those that can't play/think arty safe.

Sure we all get battered by arty occasionally, suck it up, readjust, move on, don't go cry baby.

Dont tell me what to do. If i wanna be a cry baby i can be a cry baby :'p

I dont like what PC did. Stunning is a bad system.

Lets say you do 2-3k dmg with splash dmg in arty. All that needs to happen is to reduce the alpha so you do a little less dmg each hit and increase the rate of fire so you still do 2-3k in the same amount of time.

And if you really want alpha strike memes use ap shells so you have to risk doing no dmg.

The only people not voting for the skypig-free queue are the clickers themselves :teethhappy:

Let them have their own 15 v 15 god-view camera, 1 click kill all arty matches

The Chinese buffs finally came through after years of asking.
