Too much rule 34 of poison ivy so any removal of foliage is an immediate attack.

Im assuming the fake bushes are part of the grass assets. They just need to disable grass in sniper view and everything would be fine.

Well, some of the bushes are included and some aren't.

So, there are bushes and foliage that appear on both 360 and XB1 --- let's call those coded, functional bushes.

Then there are some which are purely aesthetic and only show on XB1 --- let's call those fake bushes behind which, if you are hiding, you will still be seen by 360 users who don't see those bushes.

So, during this glitch, you can go into training rooms -- run to your favorite bush. If it is still there, it is real. If there is a shadow on the ground, it isn't.

All of that being said, yeah, the option being given to XB1 users would be a smart solution to this now rather obvious issue.

The bigger issue I see, unless or until we get some option like you all mentioned, is that it really gives an unfair advantage to 360 users --- an advantage we are all now able to see, which is frankly a little alarming. I mean, I knew there was a difference, but this is pretty significant.

Maybe we could use some of that on maps like ardennes with all the goddamn trees everywhere.

You want to replace the textures with rule 34? By all means go for it dude I'm not judging.

So I'd thought you were referring to further foliage removal which led me to misinterpreting that on purpose, but it turns out you were making the same joke in the beginning? Have I been played?

Ah well.

Ya thats why i believe the real bushes are their own asset and the fake ones are part of the grass assets that just get painted everywhere.

Ideally they wouldnt have fake bush assets but atleast if we could have grass disabled in sniper view we would see which bushes are fake.

Also im glad everyone can see clearly why players like myself choose to still play on 360.

so after all this time asking for the grass to be removed, WG shows that it was simple all along and just didn't want to even the playing field. better add this as a option in settings after this :izmena:

Wow, I just got a message that has my head swimming ...

Okay, I know a number of you see this as a big deal because it makes it competitively uneven. And it is. But ...

So a buddy writes and asks, isn't there a bigger concern, in how it impacts players who aren't even into the competitive aspect -- like awarding in-game goods, XP, grinding times, op completions, etc.

I received a question about that, and I just don't know. I mean, if one platform has better vision, less obstructions, and a better idea of what is actual cover/concealment and what isn't, I guess it makes sense that that would impact player performance and affect things like silver burn, consumables burn, ops completions, length of tech tree grinds, etc, etc.

Keen to hear your thoughts, but unless my head is on sideways this opens up a can of worms that seems bigger than simple 'competitive advantage.'

Its like exploiting their playerbase is their base mode of operation or something lol

Game looks like CRAP, looks like freaking HALO 1, but... it plays SO MUCH BETTER now!

WG, please, until you kill Xbox 360 keep the fields mowed for competitive reasons. Thanks!

Edit: Make this a user selectable graphics option. Other games have it, why can't we? Best of both worlds and will keep everyone happy.

This.

After all these years i still find it a very hard thing to believe it's the 360 that is really holding the game back when time and time again it's been shown that WG really doesn't know how to do it but uses the 360 as a scapegoat for things "ruining" the game in terms of customization and whatnot seeing what the giant changes PC can do from potato on min to super computer on Ultra.

How is this a "terrible" bug?

I enjoy rich graphics. It’s why I have an Xbox One X and a PS 4 Pro running with a 4k display. So in my opinion the bug vastly reduces my experience. That’s the opinion part.

The hard fact part is twofold.

1) if this was intentional, community communication to the player base that Xbox was going to be dumbed down visually while PS wasn’t should have been a thing. An official statement is in order. That’s good development practice.

2) if it IS a bug, their quality control department is pitiful.

This sounds pretty cool, I might have to try this. Genuinely thank you WG for trying this, however it was caused.

I also think it might have been mislabeled - when things glitch out and change without warning or timely announcements it isn't a BUG, it is a  PLAYER REQUESTED FEATURE TEST. Just making sure we all get the terminology correct before it is announced in Thursdays Weekly Assault.

:)

Game really isn't being Dumbed down because of removing grass though. And their quality control is terrible. this is a known fact. Either way. The option should be there to remove the grass on Xbox One and PS4.

I will always agree with giving the player a feature choice. The number one rule of a customer focused company is “you can chose not to deliver new features, but you can never take features away”.

Yep, they have quite a huge advantage over xb1 users. Half of the bushes XB1 users see aren't even there for 360 players, meaning an XB1 player might think they are hiding behind a bush but to the 360 player they are sat in the open.

One of the many reasons why 360 should just be dropped.

Are there any videos to show this? Really think this is more tin foil hat area than anything tbh.
