Update 4.12 is here!  Please leave any feedback regarding the following content:

Features and Improvements

  • Matchmaker
    • Under certain situations, one-sided platoon matches were being created without any platoons on the opposing team. We've made adjustments to prevent this from happening which should result in better platoon distribution between the teams when possible.
  • Camo at a Glance- Based on player request, we have added "Camo at a Glance" to the garage display along side your ammo, equipment, and consumables. This will allow players to quickly see if their tank is currently equipped with camouflage, which season, and what pattern. 
  • Aiming Indicator improved - Adjusted the HUD aim indicator to more accurately reflect the current status of the weapon's dispersion.  This change affects the 3rd Person, 1st Person, and Sniper view.   • PBRS improved (Post Battle Results Screen) - When you have a Boost Op activated, the PBRS will show the bonus amount that the Boost earned.  
  • Game Mode Selector improved
    • When an Event mode is active, it will be the default selected mode for the first login.
    • Subsequent logins will now default to the last played game mode instead of always defaulting to the Event mode. 
  • Concealment Rating improved
    • The Concealment Rating bar now reflects an increase or decrease in rating when camouflage is equipped or removed to reflect the bonus that camouflage provides.
  • AMX65 t - New package added based on player request
  • High Caliber Medal improved
    • Based on player request, shooting an ally will no longer disqualify a player from earning the Medal. 
  • Adjusted the muzzle flash in sniper view so it's not as bright.

The AMX 50 B still has a worse aim time than the FV4005. Please fix.

I really like the camo at a glance in the garage  and the bonus information on the PBRS. Thanks WG! 
 

PS I really, really, really like the 30% off on Tier Xs! Thank you very much! Happy Thanksgiving.

 

It is cool the way the camo display shows the patterns. It would be a nice addition if there was a “P” or something like that for permanent and an indication of how long temporary camo was going to last, like 5D, or 14H, just down in the corner of each camo box.  Also tanks for which camo is unavailable should have “Unavailable” or “NA” across camo boxes in garage view.

That’s all i read for this update to be honest, should be called a patch not an update

My initial reaction to this update was luke warm based on the patch notes. But the actual implementation in game is outstanding! Rather than clutter the garage the camo indicator fits nice and actually looks great there. I also really like the boost totals on the results screen. It's the little things. So much for WG not listening to the players...

^^^^^^  Isn't this the same thing as in the Detailed report under OPs awards?

Not really seeing any improvement in the MM for platoons. 

There's a fine line between being a flaming angel of death riding wings of vengeance and fury, and being Mr. Potato Head limping around on one leg while missing a nose and an ear.

the camo thing clutters up the screen to much .......also ..please speed up some of the light tanks you nerfed so badly a couple years ago  please .

Love the reticle change. I use to have to lead tanks an extra couple tank lengths because the server location was different than were my console had the reticle. Now ...... O Yeah

Plattoon MM ist still in a broken state... Thought it would be better after that, but it still was just a lazy job done... You still get matched against up or down plattoons.. So, this isnt satisfying at all... 

Also the "new" reticle adjustments seem to be bad or not finished yet... I had multiple times yesterday, imediate after the shot, or in that moment ive pullet the trigger, the game lagged as f..... After the shot connected or failed (accuracy is still the most useles statistic in this game) it ran fluid again... 

 

The PBRS is fine now..

The Proxy circle is also nice and bright now...

More invisible walls are meh...

No major balancing or adjustment is just bad, i mean really bad...

 

All in all, a okayish patch, but not worth to be called update...

So it seems it's just me here commenting on this, but the 'HUD more accurately representing the gun's state of dispersion' change... I dunno, it feels like this change hasn't taken correctly. Am I wrong to assume that its intention is to have the reticle show a more accurate depiction of actual bloom state than it used to, and therefore increase a user's "accuracy" by helping them to better put rounds on target? If that's what was intended then, to put it in shooting terms, I think you've only mounted a new scope but have forgotten to zero the rifle. From what I've seen today it's not working and is having the exact opposite effect.

 

I noticed immediately that many of my tanks' guns had tighter looking reticles and thought yay, this will be cool. But as I started shooting I was noticing more misses. I mean that's completely opposite of what I should be experiencing, no? The shocking one that made me come here to comment on this was an artillery-less battle on Prokorovka in my Type 5. I know this tank, I know this gun --- I quite literally sent 8 or 9 airballs down field in a row. No bounces, no contacts, using HE of course, and I threw, with this this new updated reticle that's supposed to be improving my shooting, I open the match with 8 or 9 straight grounders & airballs, scoring zero damage. That has never, ever happened. Not ever.

 

So I dunno, double check this reticle update. Perhaps it's working in some cases but it's certainly not working properly on my Type 5 and various other tanks.

 

Of course this is under the assumption that it's supposed to be helping us better put rounds on target, not intended to mask the true bloom/dispersion value so that we miss when the reticle says we should hit.

Can we get a more detailed explanation of the aiming indicator improvement?

 

I think the reticle appears smaller when in 3rd person, and maybe blooms less when moving over bumps?  So does that mean we always had better accuracy than the indicator indicated?
