Hello tankers!

Updated OP as we wanted to notify player we added Point of the Day back due to community feedback and popular demand! Cheers!

More people should get the T34/slot then.

At stage XX though the rewards are still underwhelming. I'm grateful, but far from addicted this year. Which should be healthier (for me anyway)

It is apparent that you guys at wargaming have diminished our Rewards in 2020. You've managed to make this a long and arduous Journey with little to look forward to

cuz you are being very stingy with the rewards and it's going to be that way for the next 82 days. Boring with a capital B. Is there anybody in this forum that can set up a way to vote regarding the 2020 rewards versus the 2019 Rewards? It would be really nice for wargaming to see what the communities thinks about this change. My guess is, that most of the community with overwhelmingly vote for the 2019 reward structure. This opinion is based on the comments that are prevalent in the game lobbies that I've been playing in for the last week and a half. Most of the players that I speak to are completely disappointed with the 2020 reward structure. So my hope is, that if somebody can put together a legitimate poll that will allow us to vote, so that the administrative staff at wargaming could see the actual sentiment of their player base. Thanks

While none of those were my main issues with the current event, I feel it should be acknowledged whenever the community's concerns are considered and addressed.  Thank you!

Glad to see point of the day return but wow, these rewards are appalling and so demotivating! I know they're free and I'm grateful for the freebies but compared to 2019 they're worthless. Where's the 30 X3? It's seems we now have to put more effort and time into the game without any matching rewards. I'm only a casual gamer, I used to really enjoy this game, now I'm less motivated to play as the enjoyment is being swapped for apparent greed and rinsing the community for reskins and autoloaders. Yes the Draugen is a superb piece of equipment, I've only seen streams and YouTube, but even that is overpriced and in 4-6 months it'll be reduced, hardly seems worth buying at full price, another kick in the teeth for dedicated players. I want to find the enjoyment again, I want to see my efforts rewarded not by flags and more supplies but by new maps, better map rotation, a company that listens to the community and continued improvement to the game and not new ways to rinse the playerbase. I'll keep playing but it's getting less and less, I can't see it long before I join the queue for the exit.

So many people on here complaining about not getting more free stuff from this free game. Its a free game people, FREE!

The purpose of this game is not to complete OP's. The purpose is to play the game, unlock tanks you like, work your way up to the TT, have fun, rinse/repeat, and maybe join a CLAN. All these OP's are just the gravy on top. You are under no obligation to complete all the OP's or play the game every day.

Yes, the rewards are substantially reduced from last year but lets be fair, WG spoiled us last year. I genuinely felt guilty taking so much free stuff. I think they have swung a little too far to the lean side and the delta in the rewards stands out more. WG should've tapered off a little less aggressively, to prevent withdrawal.

Yes, the new OP structure seems more confusing but its not a big deal. Between the daily points available, the weekly 50 point OP's that will eventually scale up to 3x50 pointer OP's per week (200 points in Jan, 400 points in Feb, 600 in March), there will be more than enough points available to earn the free tank over the coming months. Throw in some random bonus OP's WG will probably have active in the last 2 weeks to give everyone a fighting chance theres easily going to be 3000+ points available to get you to the 1500 needed.

Play a couple days a week for 30-60 mins, heck even a couple 15 mins sessions in an evening, try grind out the 50 pointers at the weekend and youll easily coast your way to the free tank. I dont even look at the OP's. I just play the game the way I like to play it.

Play tanks, have fun and the OP's will take care of themselves.

Peace 0/

I totally, agree with this statement, but RaiBot01 did not need to make fun of the one person complaining..  I am sure she gets a lot of complaints on here and can be frustrating, but come on Rai.  Show better class for your company, you are embarrassing them...

My post is 100% specific to the general complaints Im seeing on the forums relating to the new OP structure and rewards amounts.

On a separate note, responses from ANY company to the customer should always be kept neutral/positive specific to customer relations.

Apologies if it's already been asked and answered, but I'm curious about the significance of the Roman numeral behind "Active Duty" award in poast-match stats?

I've noticed it seems to range from 1 to 3.  Does it represent the amount of tasks you were able to complete in the battle?

So many people on here complaining about not getting more free stuff from this free game. Its a free game people, FREE!

I have a question regarding your post. Do you work for wargaming? It's amazing to me how some in the community can be so apologetic for wargaming actions when the community is disappointed with the results of they're ops structure. You clearly seem to be a fanboy and don't realize that the overarching community concern winter games 2020 reward structure is deficient compared to Winter Games 2019. You don't need to be an apologist for the company. Wargaming job is to make their game interesting and appealing to their customers. If for some reason, their customers are disappointed with the direction, war gaming has provided a remedy to this Solution by letting the community interact with them, by way of the forums. It is not your job to shut down the conversation with telling people to, be quiet, and you should be happy with whatever you get. If you want this game to continue to grow, and have the player accounts on the North American server be suitable to equality of playtime that would be beneficial while being rewarded with ops that motivate longer player interaction, then you should join the community, respectfully, and allow people to express their mind regarding this game. One thing you need to remember, is that not everybody that plays his game treats it like a free game. Many players have invested a substantial sum of money into this game by buying premium tanks, and premium time to make their gaming experience more enjoyable. These players have a vested interest in the success a world of tanks and should be able to express their concerns, respectfully, in the forums, so that wargaming knows what is driving their behavior whether they will play the game or not. This is a healthy forum and benefits all parties. I am not shutting down your opinion, merely suggesting a reason why people might be unhappy, so that you might be able to align your thinking with an understanding of why this medium works. Respectfully submitted, thank you.

I have a question regarding your post. Do you work for wargaming?

Nope nor do I know of anyone who does.

It's amazing to me how some in the community can be so apologetic for wargaming

I was never apologetic.

when the community is disappointed with the results of they're ops structure

I pointed out that it was confusing and agreed with the community and then attempted to appease the communities concerns that there are plenty of points available and not to worry.

You clearly seem to be a fanboy and don't realize that the overarching community concern winter games 2020 reward structure is deficient compared to Winter Games 2019. You don't need to be an apologist for the company.

See above and see original post noting this Ref:Yes, the rewards are substantially reduced from last year but lets be fair, WG spoiled us last year. I genuinely felt guilty taking so much free stuff. I think they have swung a little too far to the lean side and the delta in the rewards stands out more. WG should've tapered off a little less aggressively, to prevent withdrawal.

Agreed.

It is not your job to shut down the conversation with telling people to, be quiet,

I did no such thing. I stated that I see people complaining, not that they should stop complaining. These are not the same thing.

then you should join the community, respectfully, and allow people to express their mind regarding this game

Please cite where I was disrespectful and stopped people from expressing what was on their mind.

One thing you need to remember, is that not everybody that plays his game treats it like a free game.

I never said I treated it like a free game, I stated that it is a free game. These are not the same thing. Please cite where I said I treated it like a free game or that I had never spent money on it.

Many players have invested a substantial sum of money into this game by buying premium tanks, and premium time to make their gaming experience more enjoyable

Premium time and premium tanks are paid content, not free content. My post was about free content, not paid content.

These players have a vested interest in the success a world of tanks and should be able to express their concerns, respectfully, in the forums, so that wargaming knows what is driving their behavior whether they will play the game or not. This is a healthy forum and benefits all parties.

Agreed. I never said or expressed any contrary opinion to this

I am not shutting down your opinion, merely suggesting a reason why people might be unhappy, so that you might be able to align your thinking with an understanding of why this medium works

I never once thought you were shutting me down. I am fully aware as to why the community is unhappy across the board, this new OP system and reduced rewards is just another log on the fire of unhappiness. As stated early, my post was specifically about the new OP structure and the free rewards being considered insufficient. It never broached upon paid content, game longevity, customer relations etc.

Respectfully submitted, thank you.

I appreciate the feedback and civility.

People say they're unmotivated but keep posting, take a break for a month or so and come back when the ops pick up. No one's forcing you to play daily at the start of a long op.

If I only had a Baneblade....

just for reference to all those complaining that a weekly OP will reset if not completed within the time allotted. It NEVER rolled over before so why would you expect it to rollover now? Last year you were given a weekly OP, if you completed it you got your 50 points and other rewards, if you did not complete it then it went away and a new one shows up for the next week. That is the same as you have now, nothing changed.

Sorry but actually you are wrong.  You got new weekly op and the old one if not finished stayed until it was completed each month.  I tested it and it  tempted me  to try an wait until the last week and see  if I could complete the month playing only the last week.  I never did do it though as I am addicted and the  X2 bonus was a huge benefit to  grinding along with boosters.  I screamed through a couple of tier 9 grinds in a couple days by using the X2 and boosters where as before that might have taken a  month or two.  I was getting 10-15k XP a winning game.

The year before weekly ops did work as you describe just not in 2019 campaigns.

Nah man. You always had the 50 point ops until the event ended & they never reset weekly.

In my case, i went full try hard last year, completed in around 10 days per Phase in 2019 so i could take 2 weeks break but this time, i'm just focusing on the Weekly Op and just do the Minimum Required (and pick up the pace slowly in Month 2 and then work hard in Month 3 if it gets that far). As i did the Weekly, i just played the 1 Battle for the Daily Battle Op as want to try and get the 500 Gold. I don't want to take a break as if we get a year tank again, i want to make sure i do it. I have a Week of Premium i won around 2 months ago but i'm going to wait until Stage 80.

The Ops are also quite confusing at times, With the more 50 pointers in Months 2 and 3 then the confusing 7 Day Op Timers. The 7 Day Timers wasn't needed in my opinion. Then the Point of the Day returns, while i'm grateful for it returning, I don't see why it was removed. More 50 Pointers are a Welcome Addition however.

Ops just feel like Slow Progression for me. That would improve in Months 2 and 3 and last year was just 550 points (in some cases higher), and was faster progression in 2019 and the 50 pointer was just under 10% of the Op and each day completed felt like just under 5% completed, It felt like you were contributing to the Op. :)

just for reference to all those complaining that a weekly OP will reset if not completed within the time allotted. It NEVER rolled over before so why would you expect it to rollover now? Last year you were given a weekly OP, if you completed it you got your 50 points and other rewards, if you did not complete it then it went away and a new one shows up for the next week. That is the same as you have now, nothing changed.

Like others have stated, this is not true.  The few 50-point ops that I've failed to complete during the week they were introduced did not go away the following week. In fact, I experienced a short burnout where I didnt even bother to start the monthly event til the very end of that month. When I finally did start playing again, all of my accumulated 50-point ops were available to earn.
