I mean from the tier V and after the radio signal is usually more than enough in most of the maps.I dont even bother to know about the radio signal when i am buying a new tank, also when my radio operator is injured i never bother to use my first aid kit to heal him like most of the players. My point is that maybe the radio concept  needs a rework and be revelant in the game , because right now i think its not in this current meta.

The radio operator handles the communications in your tank.

When a team mate spots a tank, the info is communicated via the radio operator.

You have to be within radio range of your team mate in order to see targets they are spotting. Likewise, in order for your team to see any targets you are spotting they have to be in radio range of you.

A dead Radio operator or broken radio module reduces your radio range.

I do know these things already, i think my point was misunderstood.Even  when the radio is damaged or the radio operator is injured i dont notice a  significant difference in the radio signal that forces me to use the first aid kit or the repair kit for my radio operator and radio respectively.

that’s probably because you’re within another teammate’s radio range. The less teammates you have the more noticeable it might be. It’s more obvious at lower tiers. You will not see some teammates that are too far away on the map. You know they’re alive but on the minimap they don’t show up. That being said, radio is pretty much useless

Same here, I don't even waste an aid kit on the Radio Operator once he is out because I notice no difference. I think they should make where if you lose your Radio Operator you lose all contact with your team mates and any reds outside your visual range are no longer rendered.

It has a greater impact at low tiers. At high tiers your base radio range pretty much covers the map so a minor penalty will be barely noticeable.

The radio operator often time serves as a meat shield for more important crew members.

The radio is necessary for larger maps so you can keep in mind where allies and enemies are, even if you can't see them visually. I don't know if radio perks are that useful either since most high tier radios are up to 700 meters range at least which is plenty for most maps.

My guess is that we're indirectly affected by a loss of radio and operator. With a reduced signal range, we miss out on spotting damage from arty, hiding TDs, and camping heavies. On the flip side, without radio range, we rely more on our own view range without the aid of teammates (e.g. scouting lights).

I agree with you, I almost never intentionally repaired/healed a radio (operator). There might be a French light tank whose Radio Operator doubles as the Ammo Loader, but I forget which one and I probably no longer play that tier...

Radioman is also the one that can be replaced by the commander in a lot of tanks, 4 man crew instead of 5.

Losing all contact when your radio operator is injured i think its too much ,what i would recommend is increasing the impact the of losing ur radio operator.

That has happened to me only once and in a low tier(below tier 5).But these occasions happen very rarely i think.

They make sure that you are getting the right radio station and music for whatever your current situation is, and occasionally to check the weather forecast in high tier.

Jack of all trades helps because your commander takes over comms, and a lot of tanks toward the high tiers tend to drop the radioman for that reason.
