I've been looking on the clan recruitment page but can't seem to find what I'm looking for.

Ideally I'd like to find a group who are better than me (wouldn't be hard to beat) so that I can learn and improve and posibly even do clan battles at some point.

Anyone point me in the right direction.

There are a lot of clans out there who have no trouble helping out people.  Both on Xbox and PS4 and their always looking for new players.  You just might be a little to picky..

I think the best way to find platoon mates is to use your mic, find other players using their mic, make sure they're not narcs/nazi-sympathizers/ect., and add 'em to your friends list.

There are clans that are focused on mentoring newer players, but I am not familiar.

If you want to learn to play well then watch how to videos and study different tank armor specs, penetration specs, reload times, clip potential, weakspots, etc...

once you become a competent tanker, clans will recruit you after you tear one of them up in battle, then you’ll make friends and all that stuff.  Joining a clan raw is not going to happen unless the clan is bad and that’s not going to help you learn anything.

most clans will work with you on advanced skills but the basics (sidescraping, using cover effectively, and playing maps correctly) you have to put forth the effort to learn that stuff yourself.  There used to be a couple of guys I knew that would work with raw recruits and teach them stuff but those guys burned out and don’t play anymore.

we now have fantastic teaching tool available to us in this game.  Some guy does things in a battle that seem incredible, rewind the game and relive it from his tank see what he saw, understand what he reacted to, and learn without sending friends requests or nothing and you can save the video to watch it over and over again until different things make sense to you.

you gotta understand that clan members are all always working on separate things themselves, most people are not going to use what time they have after work to grind their own lines, silver, or crews basically tutoring someone else and it’s unreasonable to expect otherwise.  Especially with all the online content that so many great players have taken the time to post and share.

Like I said, I knew two guys in all my time in WOT that specifically enjoyed working with new people and they’re both gone

I myself have taught a handful of guys a few things over the years but not until ‘after’ I saw that they had potential, that said, I’m not the person that should be teaching anyone, I’ve always been casual and I have never cared to try and become ultra competitive in this game, precisely because taking that approach in the past with other games made it so I forgot to have fun and I never wanted that for WOTs:honoring:

You can simply send a message post battle to anyone on your team, or even the Red team. Ask to platoon. A platoon with 2, 3 or 4 players would likely be glad to add you and if they don't, ask someone else. No clan needed.

Just be aware of the abundance of casual potato clans that are out there.

most clans talk privately on game,  so they can hear each other.. They do not use public talk..

Hello,

Don't do clans. I play seclusive style from the beginning and have little if no interest at clanning. I play for fun, not for others.

They just want to win some more gold, and doing clan things are only good for the pay to win industry.

Most of times, the platoons develop the fastest suicidal tactics, which outrages me.

Also they don't play in tiers 1,2,3 and 4 either

They do, just not to the exclusion of all else.

It might be worthwhile joining one of the semi-casual clans.

The more established ones would have a good roster of players available to play with.

Bunker is a good example, and I know someone from mine has sent you an invite as well.

You can PM with with questions, if you wish. I don't bite.

I would say stay away from the JOCO or BNKR clans. But it seems they have already tried to corrupt you. The current DAWAI clan is also full of idiots and I would avoid those guys as well.
“Greatness is a transitory experience. It is never consistent. It depends in part upon the myth-making imagination of humankind. The person who experiences greatness must have a feeling for the myth he is in. He must reflect what is projected upon him. And he must have a strong sense of the sardonic. This is what uncouples him from belief in his own pretensions. The sardonic is all that permits him to move within himself. Without this quality, even occasional greatness will destroy a man.”

What in the world are you talking about and where exactly did the bad platoon touch you?

You are more than welcome to platoon with us to see what it's all about. We are most definitely having fun, while not earning any gold nor yoloing like idiots (unless we are platooned with our DAWAI friends, but that's a different story).

So kids, don't do drugs, but do clans! Clans are good for you. Peace.
