A lot of players agreed these were never heavies in the first place. Armor lacking and more mobile that your typical heavy.

What does it change? not much.

At least, you will be able to play the tank as support, as meant to be, without getting frowned upon by other players.

It does bring up long term questions as mentioned in the other thread. Specifically, will it change their camo factor and will their damage output be too high compared to other mediums? Could be the first step toward bigger changes.

I posted this in another thread, but this redesignation could result in the AMX 50 series of tanks getting a better camo rating since heavies often have notably worse camo ratings than similarly sized mediums. If that does end up being the case it could actually be a pretty solid buff for the line.

Stupid change in my opinion. This will lead to a series of change which will change tank and make it even more useless than it is right now. I think this change of class will lead to the following nerfs: HP nerf, possible front hull armor nerf, maybe even dpm nerf, since It will according to wg "stats" overperform in terms of damage.

I dont care if they nerf hitpoints but buff mobility and camo value, I think the 50b was totally fine as a heavy with the stats it had now, it even should have had an aimtime buff. But wg are stoopid.

it is my favorite tier 10, hence why it is my most played 10. it is super enjoyable, since it takes a certain amount of skill to perform in, compared to for say, the s conq

Also I belive the chisel should be a heavy, because that spaced armor is not equivilent of medium tank armor,

Chisel stats are skewed because bad players can't get past stage 5.

It is funny that it never mentioned in the article.  I'm sure they are unaware of that factor.

They seem aware that something is causing the tank stats to be skewed and that it's "More popular among good players" but they haven't seemed to realise that the reason for that is the contract itself, specifically stage 5,

From the Article;

Popularity and Win Rate
The Chisel is really interesting in this regard. It is significantly more attractive to skilled players, who tend to use this tank more commonly. We need to dig more into why this tank performs so well, but the skill of its users definitely influences the tank’s stats.

From the graph is seems like pretty much no one under a 40%-45% win rate even owns the tank and the majority of users are well above 50%

I meant that specifically the contract restriction was not mentioned.  But yes I am sure that is a major factor.  I remember seeing the 'rage cancellation' videos on Facebook after people could not complete stage 5.  It makes sense too for the skew as how often do we see bad Chisel drivers?  I don't think I've ever seen one just completely potato out like most tanks; certainly none with camo net or binoculars.

If they don't nerf the gun or some other thing like armor, then this change is a buff because these tanks will have better camouflage?

Also, if AMX 50 100 is a tier 8 medium and it leads to Lorraine, which is a tier 9 medium, then I think Lorraine should be buffed.

Are the Nomad/Somua -tanks going to be mediums as well?

Problem: Tanks survivability is low.
Common sense: Buff Hit points (done on PC btw)
WGCB: Make Medium DA da

Btw, if 50100,50120 and 50b are moved to medium line they should receive better camo rating, no?

There aren't any changes to the tank, just it's classification.

I'm pretty sure the Nomad/Somua will remain as a heavy, due to its mobility and armour, which is quite different to the

tech-tree French tanks.

None of the tank stats have been changed, only the class classification.

They didn’t mention a stat change, but camo may be stealth changed to fall in line with other mediums. Also maybe not. This is WG. Carry on, nothing to see here.

The Chisel is only an issue for tankers who fire HEAT, HESH, HEP, and HE. I've had a few think they were safe when I run in to them in my Draugen, UDES 16 and even my T32 and had them back in the garage. Just need to know what to shoot at them and where. Even with the speed armor the LFP is still nice and soft.
