So last week I was in two games that we lost. In one of them it was down to one tank each but the other team won because they did more overall damage. In another game the other team won because because they had destroyed more tanks than our team.

Today our team was up two tanks Tier 8 tanks at full health  to the red team's single TD with less than a quarter health. It was a Death Star so I couldn't blame them for not wanting to rush it. When the timer ran out it was a draw. Considering the other two games, why was this a draw?

I'm guessing the match which was a draw was Encounter. Team Destruction and Standard Battles have the "Most tanks left alive" rule when time runs out (even though Standard probably shouldn't), but Encounter modes will always be a draw if time runs out before one team caps or destroys every enemy.

I quite like the most damage done rule in the case of equal kills.

I've had many fun games where I'm in the last two or one, and sat trying to work out my odds, and if I need to go for that kill or extra damaging shot.

My biggest problem with that rule is that you often just win/lose in those cases simply because of what tanks were on your team. You could be on full health in a 1v1 against a very low health enemy, but because your team had a five player E100/Maus platoon you lose if time runs out regardless. Even so I don't really mind that rule all that much, but I do wish it didn't apply to Standard Battles (since it effectively adds a third win condition to a gamemode that already has two).

Cone to think of it, the battle in question was an Encounter. Thanks for the replies!

I hate those draws you get when you capture the red base a good 10 seconds ahead of the reds trying to cap your base. The timer keeps going for a few seconds, they get the cap too and its a draw woohoo!

Timer extends with kills, so can go on for much longer than the usual 5 secs.

You're right, its a real killjoy when that happens!

I really hate it when you shoot and damage the only tank capping the base and yet the timer doesn’t reset even a second so they get the cap.  Even better when you destroy the last red tank and yet it still says you lose because “they capped the base!” What the hell, are their ghosts now haunting the base so you have to retreat?

I've never liked the stalemate rule they added. I get why they added it to team Deathmatch, to stop the last tank from hiding and forcing a draw. But it doesn't make sense for the rest of the game modes.

I agree. It makes sense in Team Destruction since there's no cap circles, but it shouldn't apply to Standard Battles like it does currently.
