I've been looking through the tanks available for trade in (since I still have a Fatherland to trade in) and there are just a few that I'm considering. One is the Panzerknacker for the memes, but the two more serious contenders are the T54E2 and the Eradicator. While both are obviously different tanks, they do still share quite a few similarities, as both are three shell autoloading heavies with good turret armor that are decently fast/mobile for heavies as well. The main differences that I notice are that the T54E2 has a much better gun when it comes to burst potential (since it has more alpha and a faster intra-clip reload) and is more mobile as a whole, but the Eradicator has a much faster reload, better gun handling, and doesn't have a large cupola weak point. So, I want to hear your thoughts. Which is better, the T54E2 or the Eradicator? Debate it!

You might prefer the Eradicator.
I don't think the T54E2 has an overly reliable gun, which can be off-putting.

The Eradicator has a rather reliable gun, and also has access to Snakebite crews.

T54E2 requires frequent prammo spam to be effective and the turret armor while bouncy, is not very reliable. I don't own the Eradicator, but since it is based on the Caernarvon platform, I would say it is the better tank out of the two.

Eradicator has good turret armor and better gun handling, reload and 75% crew xp bonus so...

Eradicator pen is basically the same as the T54E2s.

Yeah, but Eradicator gets way better gun handling.

I own both. Eradicator has much more reliable armor in my experience, and the gun is super solid. I enjoy the T54e2 a great deal, but I prefer the single shot option. It’s unfortunate you can’t use a rammer with that package.

If I could only have one, I’d probably choose the Eradicator.

I don't have the t54, but I tear them apart with my Eradicator. The tank is nice, cent AX turret so if you're use to that, plays like a slow cent AX. Tbh I like it a lot. It's able to carry 10 games as long as you don't Yolo. The reload is nice and the thing can output some insane damage.

Just to let y'all know, I took your advice and went with the Eradicator. My very first match saw me having to fight a T95 frontally for half of the game (while being hit repeatedly by a GW Tiger) and I ended up as the only non-SPG alive on my team against multiple enemies, but I still managed over 4500 direct damage, 5 kills, and Mastery badge, and a victory (largely because my two teammates in SPGs did a great job). This is certainly a great tank, even if it does get set on fire extremely easily, and I appreciate all of your feedback convincing me to get it.

They are both solid tanks, but you can't beat the Eradicator for training UK crews.

I like the Eradicator more, but I would not underestimate the T54E2. The gun actually surprises me positively often enough regarding snap shots. Yet only 19 seconds reload time on the Caernarvon (with BiA and vents) Let‘s you join the fight way sooner. Regardless of the lower alpha this proved to be very vital.
