I suggest adding fog to Port, if it will be in higher tiers.  The fog would act like other weather maps, reducing both view and radio range.  This would help with getting instantly spotted and also make scouts more useful.

This might make it okay to play for higher tiers.  I think fog might be the easiest of all weather effect to add as well.  Of course easiest will be just to put it back down to mid tiers.

The update notes said nothing about tier 8 in port. Nevertheless, there I was I my Fury, at the bottom of a tier 8 game in port. Bad enough that there will be tier 10's in mines, but, port? Really?

It would "fit", fog in a port makes sense

No. Weather maps are even worse. You get all the issues of a small map but now you can't spot the campers ever.

They could put it on the test server with just the view and radio range modifications.  No need to test with the fog visual, yet.  Test the concept first.

I would like this map if it was bigger and the fog could just be over the port part but would come and go with the wind

I don’t think fog is a good idea.

The map already has a ton of buildings, bridges, cars and what not.

It was finally tuned some point back by adding even more of these items. They jammed the map with buildings etc.

Having even less visibility than it has now would make it worst.

I define a camper as someone who sits and the back and can't engage the enemy with their gun.  If someone is sitting in the back and shooting the enemy, they are a sniper.  A camper is not a sniper.

Tanks like the Borsig or Iron Rain are good snipers.  But on Port they will get spotted and quickly destroyed, if they try to poke out.  the Borsig can peak a boom to some extent with the right circumstances.  But sniper seems its main role.  Although the way Port is laid out with the different elevations, it is difficult to gets shot off between the lower and upper buildings without over exposing.

Adding fog to reduce the view ranges on Port may allow glass cannon snipers to have a better use besides piñata.  Currently what will an Iron Rain do?  Try to get a clip off before being destroyed or camp in the back defending the base?  Fog might allow them to snipe and contribute in a more meaningful way.

My Fog suggestion is only an attempt to make lemonade out of a lemon.  I would likely prefer just keeping Port out of high tier rotation.

Just banhammer the map from High tiers. If they had a brain they wouldn't have uptiered it in the first place.

Trying to "Fix" the problem by making it a weather map is just a bad idea that would only make the map worse to play.

The current map rotation is, IMO, very favorable for "snipers."  If Port and Himmelsdorf are bad for snipers to balance that out, I'm OK with it.

Port and mines are just to small a map to be played by anything above 7s as a light tank and or a type 5 can see all of the map from the middle

Bad idea. These maps are bad enough for tier 8 and up. Don't ruin them more by adding "fog". Weather maps have the worst mechanics because they change view range and radio range, but the renderrange is still the same. Unfortunately, renderrange is a system variable so if they tweak that it will affect all maps.

The lack of maps is sour enough. Don't make it extra sour by adding broken maps or game mechanics. I hate lemon juice even more then lemons.

A better solution would be for Wargames to stop trying to make maps that aren’t designed for it work in high tiers, especially after it’s been tried and failed multiple times before.

Mind boggling that they wasted the development resource time on updating the Port map for the new engine when it could have been better spent on countless other, far better, maps instead. Port is a **** map. It’s always been a **** map, and it always will be a **** map.

I aim to misbehave

Port is Raibot's favorite map.  She said so on a stream.

Honestly it sounds like a cool idea.

If properly implemented where the fog can be patchy, it could be interesting.
