Here is the recap of our Intel Briefing today. You can rewatch the stream here and here.

 

Coming Soon: 

A New Game Mode that contains the following:

• New Larger Maps. 1400x1400 compared to 1000x1000, available in new mode as well as Classic for specific tiers.

• Era Based Matchmaking. Exclusive to this new mode, tanks will only fight other tanks within their era.

• New Vision System. Exclusive to this new mode, offers always on rendering and additional benefits such as Smokescreen consumables.

• New Consumables. Exclusive to the upcoming game mode. Smokescreens to negate enemy vision and Hull Patch Kits for minor restoration of vehicle health over time.

• No Artillery. Exclusive to the upcoming game mode, we’ll continue to support players who’ve invested in Artillery with the Classic WOT experience.

 

We will learn more about this New Game Mode by the end of next week, and we hope that it will be released by the end of the month.

Sounds like a mobile game

 

TV - nobody wants it

COD regen health - even PC backed down from this idea after their community rioted

No arty - an attempt to draw people in.
 

Why do you want to create two games in one? the server pop is already small, and now will be cut in half.

If you want to create a wholly different game, launch it as a separate game. Then the hard metrics will tell you which is more successful.

I think its great. There's players that love the game the way its going and there is people that don't, which is fine. Not gonna pick sides, however there where 3 timers if not more leasing to today, and the stream that was suppose to talk about the teasers didn't cover any. My question serious question....... Will we get information about the teasers ie.... "Commanders unite" "Forge from steel"    "New warriors"    "New Terrains"?

very, very, very disappointed ... I do NOT wish a great future to this bizarre new vision of the game ... after all maybe it's really time to look elsewhere, and I say that with great sadness...

Well, it'll be interesting to see that's for sure. Will definitely try it out. No idea why TV is included though and why this concept (that no-one wants) has such a hold on your thinking. It's like TV voodoo.

 

But it might very well be the final downfall of the game, splitting the already small player base amongst two game modes and alienating a core of old timers (and arty players) wanting 6.0 quality of life improvements, balance, maps and remaining bugs to be fixed. It doesn't take a genius to work out that most resources are now being poured into AW realistic or whatever this is called and "classic" will be the poor thing left to wither as is. 

 

Amazing really. Take a failed project, AW, and a successful project, WOTC. Ditch the successful one and invest in the failed. Top marks.

 

I truly hope it is successful. Time will tell. I'm not hopeful.

Bring back the old classic pre 6.0 for classic und give the modern tanks the new fancy hud

My first thoughts on reading this.

 

Point 1:  Yes

Point 2:  Yes

Point 3:  Yes

Point 4:  Okay, give it a go but not sure if it will work.

Point 5:  NO!!  Are you F***ing kidding!!

 

I'm on board with most of this but removing Arty completely is a COMPLETE failure!  Whoever recommended this, and supported, it has spent way too much time in isolation and have been smoking way too much of something.

 

I can see that within 3 months a significant proportion of WG staff will be spending their time developing and managing bots for both versions of the game.

 

A few questions concerning upcoming changes for you:

 

1.  Any improvements for Clans?  If not, why not?

2.  What improvements are planned for comp play?

Just about manage 2 play the 3-5 games for daily op. Playerbase is don't communicate anymore, if they do you've no idea who they r or where they b on the map, 4 months since update & still no voice icon on mini map, paingod, kingofclowns more like, buff said, away w me pit

Can we just have ranked battles, post-battle results and more of our original maps back?  You know, the things from pre-6.0 which we liked and made the game enjoyable.

 

My expectations are low, but I can’t see how a new mode is going to be sustainable as it’s going to split the player base (for the match maker) and further weaken what you are now referring to as “classic” WoT.

And we have a winner. The worse update combined with everything no one wanted except removal of arty. Congrats i wonder what the hype jobs of reddit will think as their mod hyped up 6.0 massively.

Wg when you pull the plug and shut it down. Can you revert, One of the servers to 4.6 "Classic" version of proving grounds. With all the missions?  At least let us enjoy our premiums. Just let it run pve. I'd pay a monthly subscription cost.  Thanks for the years, It was great fun.
