As the new heavy Italian line should be appearing at some point soon, along with it one of my favourite premiums from pc the Bisonte (hopefully) it made me think about what other new vehicles could we get on console aswell as what else could be implemented into the game.

I have some vehicles id like to see and some ideas but id like to see what other people would like to see in the ww2 mode.

Obviously id like to see the double barrels arrive at some point , what about the kunze panzer and the kampfpanzer 07 .

The Czech heavy line looks interesting.

Iv thought about how the problem of faster vehicles could be dealt with , without nerfing the lights and wheeled vehicles that will probably make an appearance at some point. Realising something firing very rapid low pen, low damage maybe the answer. For example the flak vierling for barrled 2cm guns mounted on pz4s

The AA vehicles could work alongside the heavies and a bonus brothers in arms could be granted to both the AA vehicle and the heavies as long as they remain within a certain distance of each other. This would also encourage teamwork between the vehicles and could essentially make them a small unit working together to provide mutual support and security .

Any of your ideas and opinions would be great to read.

Been asking for high tier auto-cannons for some time. Like the ELC EVEN 30 with its twin 30mm autocannons.

War is a Democracy and the enemy always gets a vote.

3 MoE's: E-25, M41 Walker Bulldog, E-50, Snakebite, E-75, T32, Tiger 131, Skoda T25, Boilermaker, Sentinel AC4 Experimental, M41B Brazil, Obj.416, Cromwell Knight, M551 Sheridan (Cold war) - In order obtained

A lot of WWII tank variants are missing, small fry but without getting boring, various Stugs, Panzer III & IV for instance.

Much of which were really of course to simply ease manufacture.

Not big tanks or game changing but I always fancied a Pz III N with appliqué armour and L24 derp.

I would like to see Chinese artillery.  They are the only nation in game with Lights, Meds, TDs, and Heavies that doesn’t have SPGs.  Did they historically field a lot of artillery? Who cares.... a lot of the Chinese tanks(the TDs in particular) are mostly made up anyway.

I think that Half Tracks would make an interesting addition and could perform Scout or Anti-tank roles depending on tier and armament.  Historically this would’ve been the case as there are examples of Half Tracks outfitted with 76mm and higher cannons.  The ones which were AA platforms would make interesting low/mid tier “dakka dakka” machines.  They’d mostly be US and German for obvious reasons, but there IS the opportunity to add a couple of one-off premiums for other nations.

There’s not a whole lot of armored vehicles left that are “True WWII” that haven’t already been added.  Most of the more recent additions are pure fantasy and based on proposals.  And I’m sorry, Joco, but rearranging a few modules does not make a compelling expansion to an existing line of mediums or heavies... oh look... another Patton this time with a gun they tested once, turret off that tank, and suspension from another... that’s how WG makes more premiums in the future, sir.

Don’t get me wrong though... more content is more content and I fully support it... especially TT content!  I don’t care if double barrel tanks are hogwash or that the Italians barely had a native tank development program in the first place... it’s more stuff to research and play that provides new and exciting challenges.

Sweden.

Although they are low tier, Sweden has lights as well. And they are certainly capable of having a light tank line as well.

It's like you haven't even glimpsed at my more recent ones.

Regardless, there is a lot of content available for this game that WG has yet to consider. The issue at the moment appears to be that WG keeps adding fictional or semi-fictional lines to their smaller nations (hence the Polish mediums, Italian heavies and Czech heavies). There's also the issue that heavies are the most popular class, but there's not exactly many heavies left to add to the game.

A good example that I have brought up a few times now would be the Swiss. There is plenty of potential for a Swiss nation to be added to the game, complete with all five classes. Naturally, the next nation is going to be Spain (Spain is capable of a single medium line last I heard, but not anything more). Another example, and one that appears on Blitz, would be Japanese TDs. Blitz actually has a few interesting lines that could be added here, although the British lights are about as questionable as the existing light tank line.

Out of the existing nations, the US has the most room to grow. WG just keeps adding all the interesting stuff as premiums lately. The T42 being a premium is a bit of a damper when it comes to adding a new line.

You can PM with with questions, if you wish. I don't bite.

Compilation thread of my ideas

There's a Japanese CW heavy, Type 74.

Sweden's IKV-91 light, they had a terrific 155mm SPG too, Bandkanon 1a which had an amazing Bofors designed cannon but was a big as a house.

The British Scimitar ARV, which is still around and has one of the most sexy cannons ever made.

From memory.

I could go up the loft and get my Jane's magazines*.

Jane's was the equivalent of Playboy magazine for tanks, one centre-fold was the first M1 Abrahams.

*(Magazines were a paper based thin book with words and pictures also known as print media or what your boss might call hard copy. They were made of a special splashproof paper and usually found under the bushes in the park back in the olden days )

Do you seriously expect people to play LTs with puny guns that have so stick close to much slower HTs? Not a chance!

^ Lol. Reminds me of when I needed to buy a new stylus for my turntable (about 2 years after they suddenly vanished from stores) and the girl at the "record shop" didn't seem to understand. The system "obsoletes" still useful gear far too quickly these days.

Talk about animals going extinct. Major technology is forcibly going the way of the Dodo too. Far too quickly. But I'll keep using useful gear as long as I possibly can. Books and magazines may end up being my last accessible gear, since I'll only need my eyes to access them.

A Swiss tank line would be nice. They had TDs during WW2 and medium MBTs after the war.

3rd MoE: IS-7, IS-3, M.O.B.A.T., M24 Chaffee '53, T-44A, T-72AV, M113, M551 Sheridan

Pls give the IS-7 10° of gd!

well then what do you propose?

I gave a thought as to what could help balance things without re modelling the entire armour model and relying on temp buffs to individual vehicles that take ages to test and implement.

I have other theories but lets hear yours.

Nothing. I don't have a problem with faster vehicles.

How would you like it if I proposed that heavy tanks should have thin armour and puny guns? Live with what you've got.

We already have at least one, in two guises. It's actually a tank I like, especially at Halloween.

Put an Italian auto-reloader on a light tank.  Total fabrication?  make it a Merc. :hiding:

I would like to see wheeled vehicles...Light tanks buy also ones with bigger guns like you now have the Mowag Piranha 90mm. Sheridan and Chieftain MK6 are also from 50-60's...so there must be vehicles enough from between 1940-1960.
Garage

Thanks to xRoni7x for this awesome sig!
