But slap a Ferrari badge on it. Can't have Italians driving Mercedes! Lol.

Call it the Enzo.

A better weekend for Ferrari than for Mercedes this weekend. Even better for Red Bull and McLaren.

Would be great some captured vehicles by the germans or vice-versa.

Great idea, so many were used by enemy nations.

I would like to see Chinese artillery. They are the only nation in game with Lights, Meds, TDs, and Heavies that doesn’t have SPGs. Did they historically field a lot of artillery? Who cares.... a lot of the Chinese tanks(the TDs in particular) are mostly made up anyway.

I think that Half Tracks would make an interesting addition and could perform Scout or Anti-tank roles depending on tier and armament. Historically this would’ve been the case as there are examples of Half Tracks outfitted with 76mm and higher cannons. The ones which were AA platforms would make interesting low/mid tier “dakka dakka” machines. They’d mostly be US and German for obvious reasons, but there IS the opportunity to add a couple of one-off premiums for other nations.

There’s not a whole lot of armored vehicles left that are “True WWII” that haven’t already been added. Most of the more recent additions are pure fantasy and based on proposals. And I’m sorry, Joco, but rearranging a few modules does not make a compelling expansion to an existing line of mediums or heavies... oh look... another Patton this time with a gun they tested once, turret off that tank, and suspension from another... that’s how WG makes more premiums in the future, sir.

Don’t get me wrong though... more content is more content and I fully support it... especially TT content! I don’t care if double barrel tanks are hogwash or that the Italians barely had a native tank development program in the first place... it’s more stuff to research and play that provides new and exciting challenges.

Never thought about chinese arty, sounds intresting especially as im working on my chinese lines now.

Id still like to see katyushas?? but that idea will go down like a lead balloon. Maybe an event - Germans and Russians with assualt mission, maybe Germans get maultiers . Would be fun to try

There is a photo in one of my books of a locally improvised 'German' TD, one of many, which was a Pak 38 welded onto a captured Bren carrier taken just before it was to be scrapped.

Yeah i think wg could do a lot more with German lines and they wouldnt  all have to be premiums either. Maybe a German line with varying captured vehicles used by the Germans and instead of making the line specific to tds , heavies ect , it could be years 30s to 45. All they would need is a photo of the Germans using it.

Could do the same with the Russians.

That's the sort of thing that would work better as a premium tank.

There's also a Matilda in a similar format.

You can PM with with questions, if you wish. I don't bite.

Compilation thread of my ideas

I wasn't suggesting it should be in the game, but come to think of it they actually existed unlike a lot of the stuff we have..

Has anyone seen the German double barrel VT tds , they are from the early 70s but i think they would only work in ww2. They look very interesting though and could be fun to play.

One of the VTs has 2 barrels that look as though they would work like the excalibers gun. I played the excaliber for the 1st time yesterday and its crazy in my opinion so much fun.

Not a new vehicle, infact it's yet another sherman but there are some amazing images of Easy 8s with 105s from the Pacific. They're covered in mud camo too. Love to see one of those with a 105, that's relevant at tier 6 (or like the dreadnought at tier 7), in the game.

(Posted this elsewhere btw)

I doubt that that arrangement would have been usable. The carrier is too light. It would be a movable gun at best, which would need to deploy its carriage support legs before firing. That takes too much time.

We have several already, Czech, French, British. Though one, the T-34-88, was inaccurately placed in the Russian line. It was based on reports of a modification made by the Germans.

Apparently there were two captured Panthers used by British troops. That has potential. Practically every other nation has a Panther already. Though quite why the Japanese one is gold plated is anybody's guess! Lol.

That's what makes them so interesting, I imagined it would flip over as soon as you'd fired, but they'd welded the gun's chassis legs along the sides on hinges, to account for that.

Maybe they did that the second time it was fired....

I used to make my own Frankenstein model tanks out of ones I'd fcuked up or stepped on or something.

(Before blowing them up with fireworks)

The T-34-88 seems to be a wholly made up thing.

But as for captured tank oddly enough the ONLY tank on tank kill the British had during the Korean War was a Cromwell that the Chinese had captured from them in the first place during the retreat from the Yalu river. A Centurion killed it when the US re-captured Seoul the second time. So a Chinese Cromwell could be a tier VI possibility.
