WG,

Why would you spend all that time and money on War Stories only to remove them from the game? I miss a single player, offline mode that I can play when matchmaking is crap or when I simply want to chill.

WS were well designed and provided a completely different experience. Were you selling less Premium tanks because less people played mp, or were they simply incompatible with the new game build? Why, just why?

Regardless, it's a huge shame they're gone. That's all.

I understand perfectly how you feel mate, I also miss and want the War Stories to come back.

Yes - war stories was great for solo play. Also good for new players- I don’t know why it was scrapped

Same I miss them they were good fun to get the hang of a new tank or just mess around or if your my wife she loved playing ws exclusively, she would run through the different ones in her little collection of whatever low tier premium tank I could get her for free she was quite happy

She's not touched the game since ws was took away

Yeah, I really miss being able to tinker around with new tanks before taking them into battle.  It would be nice if they at least brought co-op to WW2.  I thought I read at one point it was in the works but it might have been wishful thinking.

I would've loved to do the Tiger story with the Ontos...

Yeah, that would actually be pretty cool, albeit nearly undo-able, due to close quarters combat with multiple enemies at the start of the level.

Was there a night time War Story? I vaguely remember having a spotlight on my tank, blasting enemies away and that it was totally awesome! :)

They could integrate WS with proving grounds, with stories of increasing difficulty and, up to a certain point, mandatory for new players (WT has something similar) ... but perhaps it is a too trivial idea for the fine minds of Chicago .... then comes from the forum .... Bleh !!

I am against it, an excessive breakdown of the player base would be disastrous for MM... WS for WWII and cooperative for CW I think would be the maximum the current player base could afford

Yep, anything to help new players understand the mechanics of the game, controls, tank types, etc., was awesome. But wargaming says, hey, let’s manipulate the rng so new players can “feel” better about their gameplay. What happens after those rigged games is no big deal but in reality a disaster for not only the new players but damages the integrity of the game so veterans then can point back and say rng was seemingly rigged all the time. Terrible marketing decision imo.

See they missed a great opportunity to make CW War Stories, there would be so much to do.

As for the night mission, I think it may have been the second part of the Tiger one? You had to like sneak behind enemy lines

They deleted war stories from the game because the creative or executive director don't do their job how they should, if they made a direct contact with the player base this could be still in the game, well at least it's my opinion.

I miss it also. Honestly it was fun paying against bots and just trying out tanks

I wish they would return

3 years ago I would have quit if it weren't for War Stories.

It's only my complete lack of talent that stops me from being an average player.

There was one in a hurricane where your tank had headlights on to see targets.  Which made my teeth ache as turning on your white light headlights during combat is literally just turning a giant “shoot me” sign.

I don’t know how to act my age! I’ve never been this old before!

If my memory serves me correctly, you are thinking of Cuban missile crisis mission. Can't remember a name of the map though...

I like War Stories, but I didn't like people exploiting WS to earn silver and XP without having to deal with other players.

IMO, bring back WS but remove the costs and the gains for doing the playthrough over and over.

WS wasn’t going anywhere and the focus needs to be on game modes like lunar and togboat
