Maybe they just want to push veteran players out of the game?

Granted I haven't played WOT console in a while.

The per tank operations cost are just crazy.  That doesn't change too much I suppose. You pay for consumables, for repairs, for ammunition.  But realistically you have to factor in paying for premium time as well.

I used to play this game like crazy. But I guess I'm just getting burned out. Sometimes you also maybe reach your maximum skill level. Some people are just simply so much better.  I should have just got the username YOLO somehow.

The argument since 2013 is pretty much the same. It's a love-hate relationship.  Get thrown into horrible teams, all kinds of ridiculous stuff happens.  It's almost impossible to predict every game.  That of course is what makes it so challenging.

Then there are the utterly hilarious kills, crashes, the good times platooning and laughing with the guys.  I remember we were in a game, some dude was just [edited]and moaning and [edited]at everybody.... And completely totally out of the blue this girl comes on, "why don't you just shut the f******!". Hahaha. Man we left for about 5 minutes.

- Light tanks, I think in a way like artillery, they've definitely screwed up the game. It's not so much tactical if you're in a heavy, it's some little freaking joyrider screaming around in circles.  How is that supposed to be anything close to real world tanks?  Not to mention you've got these light tanks with freaking pen as good as heavies to some extent, certainly as good as medium.  Others would of course argue that light tanks add another fubar component making the game much more complex and unpredictable and therefore challenging.

- Now you sell equipment for 50% I guess, no choice. You can't even pay 10 gold to get back the silver.  So what's the motivation? At least being able to sell off equipment and get silver to do something else had motivation, it gave you some control over this game.

I don't know maybe somebody needs to crunch some numbers. See what kind of inflation in game has happened over the years.  Probably not as bad as we might think.  But then again...

It used to simply be fun. And it still is, depending on who you are.  I would have to confess being an older dude, maybe I'm just getting over games overall.   And of course you can get extremely angry and serious because of being a competitive player.  Then again, you realize you were playing in a virtual world that accomplishes nothing other than to give you the same high as other addictive things.

I watched quickie baby the other day. I liked the way he said to remember the reason you got into the game, to have some fun....

I agree with your assessment and when the fun ceases turn off and go live in the real world once again.

They just wanna keep wargaming syncophants like hiroshimarobin around as long as possible and squeeze 'em dry of money before they finally shut off the lights.

Besides that, ask yourself this simple question:

competence? or arrogance? or ignorance?

I have yet to see a vet quit properly, not interacting with the community anymore, ect.

If y'all wanna quit, keep your promise and do so.

I know a few people that are done and gone. One even deleted their account. M4ntix is the only oddball. Deep down inside, he longs for tanks but has enough fortitude to not fall pray to wg "passable" fixes since they changed the game with 6.0.

Do you want the game totally dead? That's the way it's headed.

Look at recent trends in all sorts of areas. There are a LOT of people making terrible, and even fatal, decisions. It's like a lot of people WANT to fail. I don't understand it, but it's definitely happening.

I have fun with WoT all the time, I think it's a little about one's attitude towards games as well, not just WG's decisions that are making people complain continuously.

Never underestimate the power of incompetence or hubris.

The combination of both is a disaster.

They need to bring back 5 man toons. The mm sucks [edited]and every single one of their tests proves so. Even the class balance one as a god damn joke. Let me play with more people again.

Even if was not common for me to platoon in a big platoon, it still occasionally happened, and I agree with you for sure. The more the merrier!

It was a lot of fun playing with four other people. 7 out of 10 games were were not in sync and just having fun. And it was fun. Now? We got to try and que up together and hunt each other down like rabid animals.

Yep, there's tons of veterans who have quit. Many more like myself who log in to play the minimum number of games a day to get the daily reqs for the season pass, and then are done.

Finished the season pass yesterday actually, probably won't play tanks again until the next time Wargaming effectively pay me to play their game with the next season pass.

This is not a business model that will survive much longer.

Where are the procedures for "Properly" quitting WoT? And do they really constitute a "Promise"? Curious.

True, true.

But more than tanks I miss our shenanigans playing tanks.
