Maybe they just want to push veteran players out of the game?

It's also my opinion. But players who have fun are always in the minority. A strange phenomene in this forum :D

It’s actually free to play games having an image issue/problem within the gaming community. Isn’t really strange or phenomenon just with WoT or on this here forum

I'd say a certain AAA game that recently released is having the worst time of it right now. They charged up to £110 for a game that came out less finished than 6.0 did for tanks.

Ok if you mention F2P, I absolutely agree with you :honoring: I also enjoy playing Fallout 76. Thís two games have similarities. The community is always disappointed, everything is terrible and the game is dead. Every year the same story.

Closing the forum is certainly one of the methods WG are using to remove veteran players

An other game went FTP just last year and it’s been a disaster and it’s rival mentioned perhaps going FTP and it didn’t go down well .

They don’t want to remove any players. They just want to control the flow of negativity within the community.

Ah yes, 5 people screwing over the remaining 25 with their totally broken tanks that roll over anything they come across. So much fun. Reduction to 3-player platoons was the best change this game has seen for years!

Granted, now it probably wouldn't make much difference as there is hardly any skill left on the battlefield and half of your team is dead in the first 3 minutes anyways.

So limit tanks so you can still have a 5 person platoon, but each must choose a unique tank/ class… they did that in commander mode.
the whole point of the multiplayer experience online is to have fun with friends… making everyone a lone operator leads to 0 teamwork and lousy play style.
You were just commenting about the fun you had with friends in game killing off the platoons makes that harder.

I did have fun with friends, usually playing in platoons of 2 or 3. I hardly ever played in larger platoons as I always found them totally game breaking.

Thats the idea. Have fun,  but respectful to others at the same time…. Thanks!

I remember when we did a five man toon. Four vk100p's and you in a t28p. The arty looked at us, then looked at you and choose you instead of the massive wall of hp lumbering towards it. Everyone ignored the vks going down the map, but the t28p playing support? Nah, unacceptable.

I think they just want to push people to play cold war. The amount of ghost shells and fully aimed shots is ridiculous atm. I uninstalled and reinstalled today in the vain hope that it will do something.

On the plus side I haven't seen pilsen in about 20 games which is a record I think

You still playing?

Granted I haven't played WOT console in a while.

The per tank operations cost are just crazy.  That doesn't change too much I suppose. You pay for consumables, for repairs, for ammunition.  But realistically you have to factor in paying for premium time as well.

I don't know maybe somebody needs to crunch some numbers. See what kind of inflation in game has happened over the years.  Probably not as bad as we might think.  But then again...

Well if your a vet player you probably should've played War Stories back in the days to earn a ton of silver per game.

Along with that playing tier 7+8 premiums can bank some good silver too.

Also only buy and keep tanks your going to play and sell the ones you don't.   Skip lines or tank types you don't like etc.

I always waited for a tech tree On-Track sale + sometimes waiting for an equipment sale too.

Doing that you should be able to bank millions in silver.

Nope. If there ever was a point of no return, 6.0 was it.

Agree seen many many users never come back after 6.0.   For many it was issues with vision to the change in crews etc.

Guessing by the sense of humour/lack thereof on this forum, I think the average age of a WoTC player/forum user is 65+.

I'm sure a few have died from natural causes by now, so I guess thats one way to quit.

Tacky too say the least, Moronic is more like it though. What a tool

Hahah, yeah that was great. I spent the rest of the game watching 4 VK's rolling over every red tank in their path and not stopping for anything.

Just goes to show it's not the platoons that are the main problem, arty has been ruining the fun for everybody since 2013. :D
