"Best TD at Tier 6"

"WAY better than the Jackson"

Sure kids... sure.

Usually a tanks armor doesn't bother me so long as I can side scrape or at least not get penned by 105's... but 13mm... that's pathetic. That's less armor than the German Tier 1 Ltraktor. You can't do anything with 13mm.

"Oh but It makes up for its lack of armor with its mobility" I don't count going fast in a straight line as mobility, you want to see mobility? play a Luchs, that's mobility.

"Oh but its gun mantlet is super bouncy" What difference does the gun mantlet make when you got the soft leather cheeks of a chipmunk with its mouth full? Oh right you said the mantlet... Tell that to everybody constantly penetrating it.

What's good about this tank? It's gun, that's literally the only good thing I can find about about the Hellcat. But the Jackson has the same gun but it also has more health and it's not going to be getting demolished by T6 noobs who still think a 105 howitzer is a viable gun.

I tend to use it like somewhat of a medium it's not very good at that role. You can say I'm using it wrong, but if the only scenario that this tank is good for is sniping then what's its real advantage over any other tank destroyer? Once your at range, unspotted, sniping... the TD you're in, your armor, your speed, becomes irrelevant and your gun is the only thing that sets you apart.

So what meaningful advantage does this tank have over the Jackson? Apart from its speed? Nothing. It doesn't do any better in CQC than the Jackson, and like I said if you're at long range your gun is the only thing that's relevant anymore and the Jackson and hellcat share the same 90mm.

People talk about how this tank is "feared"... Did somebody forget to mention that to all the mediums and heavies who charge up, park in front of me when my back is to the wall and out DPM me to death?

This tank absolutely doesn't do well without teammates to back it up, I'm constantly playing with lemming train morons and for whatever reason I take up the responsibility to force myself to not have any fun and go the route everybody ignores, which in most cases saves my ungrateful team and we win the match. So I guess since I'm not one of these scrubs who goes where he wants rather than where he needs to be, this tank does not preform well under actual combat that contains risk.

If you catch a hellcat alone, remember don't be afraid to sit still and out DPM it. It only has 550hp

I'm not saying this tank can't do well... You can do well from a sniping position or at medium range when not under fire, but then again what tank destroyer doesn't do well in those conditions?

The hellcat is truly an overrated tank.

Artillery is to stop campers. But I don't camp, and I'm always getting nuked.Well you need to play arty safe and stop crying. How do I play arty safe?Camp behind cover.

Fighting a WT E-100 is like playing chess and your opponent gets to make 6 moves per turn.

The glass cannon US TDs have good guns and speed.  Sniping is more for non-turreted TDs, in my opinion.  These babies let you flank, let loose a round or two, and scoot.  I'm only up to the T49, but I imagine the Hellcat plays similarly.  It sounds like you're trying to play it like a medium. Trying to hold down a flank alone with wet tissue paper armor isn't a good idea for any tank, not just the Hellcat.

If you consider getting 60dmg a shot viable then be my guest. Have fun in T8 matches

When the Hellcat first came out few days ago, I still had my Jackson. Once the Jackson went Elite, I dumped in and went all Hellcat. With the 90mm gun play hide and seek, Hellcat can do it better. Its speed can get you out of trouble faster then the Jackson can. If you don't like camping behind a bush or building, Hellcat is not for you.

This tank can't do the sort of hold certain area action like British German tds nor used like the su 122, it can't take more than two hits, sneak, spot, shoot, run and hide is a must. Else you get taken out one shot by t29.

That one bounced... WTF..not at 100m and not twice in a roll and not on the side of a Walfe-100 with a BL-10!!!

judging by what i have seen, the jpIV is better. i agree, the hellcat is over rated. unless you are in a lower tier you really shouldnt have a problem.

You didn't look like you wanted my help, I think the Hellcat is the best tank at tier 6 and you clearly disagree.
