Thought some of you might enjoy this. I think It would be great to see some of these modern tanks in the game, perhaps in a tier of their own. What do you think?

uhm no, if the mondern tanks tanks were in the game they would one shot everything and some of them are already in the game but the modern ones just would not work.

I voted: no. Why? Because of balance issues. It would be hard to nerf modern day tanks to fit in with tanks that date back sixty or seventy years, etc. That be said, I think it would be cool to see another version of WoT dealing with more modernised tanks.

I've thought of that as well, it be pretty cool. But when I said "a tier of their own" I also meant battles of their own, therefore not mixing you in with the lower tanks, to avoid balance issues.

It would be nice to roll around in Challengers and T90s. but it wouldn't work in WoT's style.

it wouldnt really work as every shot would penetrate because all tanks these days use a special type of ammunition

We already got loads of modern tanks. Cause any tank came after 1955 that dressed as MBT are considered 'modern' in concept tanks. Likes of type 59 fits that bill.

You will need a 2km x 2km map for the 80s era modern tanks to be effectively played,

That one bounced... WTF..not at 100m and not twice in a roll and not on the side of a Walfe-100 with a BL-10!!!

We have Centurions, they were the first true MBT.

Well it’s not like this game reflects reality. I mean, a Tiger in WWII could one shot a Sherman and destroy it from around 1000Ms, in this game a Tiger needs two shots on a fully healthy Sherman to destroy it even at 100Ms. A Tiger one shotting a Sherman in this game with its gun is impossible as the Sherman has 700 hit points. I'm sure they could adopt the same using modernised tanks. Afterall, as I stated before: this game is based on a numbers balance and not on any real life performance.

Does not reflect reality by far! Just take into account how fast you can repair your treads while under fire! It's just a game, after all.

Honestly I will be playing the new armored warfare game for modern tanks unless wargaming comes out with a modern tank version of WOT

http://aw.my.com/

https://www.youtube....h?v=lcUgpzA2DSQ

My current grinds: T-43 (for T-54/T-62A), Tortoise (for Death Star), ISU-152 (for Obj 704, and Obj 268), Jagdtiger (for JagdPanzer E100), AMX 13-90 (for Batchat), AMX 50-100 (For AMX 50-120/50B), and KV-4 (For ST-I and IS-4)

I play for fun, and not WN8 (as it ruins my view of this game)

Thank you for sharing that, I had no idea it even existed! I think competition is always good, since it forces people to improve. I like WOT a lot, but there are a number of things I don't like about it, mainly the spotting system. I think that the "If you see it, you can shoot it" principle should be in effect, rather than what is currently in use. I other words, I think that tanks shouldn't pop in and out of sight, but rather be plain for everyone to see like in real life, and therefore rely more on the player's sense of how to blend into the environment, and use of actual camouflage colours, and nets.

A tank using camouflage should look something like this, and I believe that with the next-gen consoles it will be possible:

OK I watched that top ten greatest tanks video I have question you guys might know. They said M4 had issue of catching fire because it had a gas engine. But most of what I've researched said issue was improper ammo storage. That was fixed and the issue was solved. Is that correct? M4 was far from only gas powered tank so would all of them have its issue they spoke about?

"Sherman was easy to maneuver on most types of terrain. However, it caught fire easily when enemy shells hit it. This caused the Allies to call it the "Ronson Lighter" and the Germans to nickname it the "Tommy Cooker".

Im still ready to Platoon with tier V up to tier IX i also have tanks tier I-V in my garage. I Play on NA-East from rushhour to midnight (servertime) mostly. I use a headset but dont need to talk much but tactical. I would never become a unicum. i grind stock tanks sometimes and want fun, buddies and win more battles. Feel free to add me/send pm in forum or in xboxlive.

According to this documentary, it was both the fuel and ammunition which could cause the fire.

14:50 - "But a hit from a German high-velocity gun could easily penetrate the Sherman's thin armour. The crew had only seconds to get out before the fuel or the ammunition went up."

Alot of modern tanks have 10.5's but they are all ugly and not beautiful like my german tanks. they would have to be bumped to tier 11, 10 mill silver... at least. and 500k xp.... at least. and then make them all balanced

I think Cold War Tanks up to...what they have now in the PC Version, like the Leopard I which doesn't have A lot of Armor but a Monster Rhine Metal 120 mm Smooth bore Cannon ( Rhine Metal makes Almost EVERY Western and even Asian Main Tank Cannon) with a Amazingly Fast Engine. I'd LOVE to have one of those but I like having Tanks Pre-WW2 all the way through the Mid Cold War in the 50's.
