To be honest, I'm surprised at the dislike the 20pdr (both A & B) get given . Their both really good guns IMO as their penetration is very good and so is their accuracy and RoF. The only reasonable argument is the low alpha, which is of settled by the RoF and Pen.

To me the dislike is rather silly and unjust, but I suppose it's all down to personal preference.

After using both 20 PDF guns, they are good for tier 8 but almost useless when you are working down a tier 9 with close to 2000 hp. Yes, the accuracy and reload are the best, but 200 to 250 damage can be a killer.

the type A barrel on the tier 8 heavy and medium fire 7.5 rounds per minute so the reload seems sluggish (to me) but the type B barrel is way better.

TD skreb, medium driver, with a little heavy action on the side.

I disagree It can work against tier 9 & 10 however while the damage may not be as high as other guns, it's the DPM that it can punch out reliably that's the major factor.

Generally the dislike of the 20 pdr is because it does not have a high alpha like many other similar tier guns. The tier 9 20 pdr is not a huge improvement in terms of performance so combat wise unless you have continuous line of sight of someone the gun is negligible in damage. Most of the gameplay revolves around shooting someone then hiding meaning alpha damage is usually the deciding factor in fights. But to get back on track, the 20 pdr just doesn't feel as powerful as it really is.

They're only good on both Centurions. I don't know why you would keep using one on the Conqueror though.

It is more about the amount of time you need to expose yourself to take advantage of that ROF

I am running out of bridges for all these TROLLS

I thought the 20 pounder was good, but it wasn't until I got the 105 that I started frequently putting up 5k+ damage games, maybe that's just me, but I just found more success with the 105 on top of the success I was already having with the 20 pounder.

I'm new to the 20lb... liking it so far, though I agree with the shortcoming statements I'm reading here.  Looking forward to the 105.

Git gud here:  bit.ly/tankguide (I should read this).  On Track list.

And the time you need the enemy to expose himself.

In a duel with a peek-a-boomer you need alpha.
