Now that WG has nerfed the German Medium VK series and reclassified them as Heavies, next will be the Matilda.  The Matilda is slow like a Heavy and has the armor of a pocket Heavy, especially when angled.  It is more of a Heavy than the D.W.2.  It would make sense to throw it into the deep end of the pool with the Heavies.

Will WG nerf the ROF of the Matilda like they did with the VK series?

My answer to any question about Wargaming and their products?  Everything's great!

Nope. The vk 30.01 and 36.01 were both actually concept versions of heavies. The matilda was a medium (infantry) tank.

something, something, something, dark side...

i agree with you on that because Matilda and the VK has a lot of similarities

1. Has more than your average medium tanks in your tier

Matilda frontal: 75mm " angled":

M3 Lee: 51mm

Pz. III : 80mm but it is flat and the turret armor is 50mm

T - 28: around 20mm

2. They both have a gun that has awesome penetration for its peers ( tier mediums) and DPM and low alpha damage .

VK 36.01 75 konish gun 157mm and 135 alpha damage ( and around 12 rpm)

Matilda  2 quarter pounder X-B 121mm pen and  55 alpha damage ( and around 28 rpm) Also the history proved that 2 quarter pounder lasted long period of time.

Yes she is very sensitive about her weight

My current grinds: T-43 (for T-54/T-62A), Tortoise (for Death Star), ISU-152 (for Obj 704, and Obj 268), Jagdtiger (for JagdPanzer E100), AMX 13-90 (for Batchat), AMX 50-100 (For AMX 50-120/50B), and KV-4 (For ST-I and IS-4)

I play for fun, and not WN8 (as it ruins my view of this game)

Snail Packing: The act of taking three Matlida's in a platoon straight into the enemy and using three XB's focusing fire on one target after another.

Its amusing to see Tier 6 heavies back up and run from them.
