Just because there is no detection icon does not mean you're not spotted,it just means that the tank spotting you may be outside your view range or not looking at you directly if they are within your view range.

Artillery can also fire at tracers of unspotted enemies that don't move after shooting in non arty safe areas. All artillery have this as their main advantage but they can be just as easily killed with zero armor and limited mobility

I was in convoy with 2 T29 in  a Jpanther beside me and an AT15 right behind me and no 1 But the 2 T29 tanks fired 1 shot yet and we were covered on the side we were shot from and this was just the game I had just before let alone the others.

Just bought my Gw Panther during the event this weekend.  I can tell you that it is a easy to kill enemies that haven't been detected, just look at which teammates are getting shot, then follow the tracer and fire away.

As mentioned:

  • How do you know you're not spotted?  do you have the Sixth Sense Perk?  If not, you could spotted and not have a clue.
  • Are they firing at tracers?  Just because you're not spotted does not mean you should just sit in the same spot and fire over and over again because ALL arty can see tracer fire and if you're stupid enough to sit in the same location while firing 10 shots in a row, well... your arty bait
  • Are you sitting at known camping spots?   For example, on Prokhorovka Standard, several TD's seem to have a moronic impression that the top of the railroad crossing is a great place to sit for the entire match, and it is.... but that also means that's a great place for arty to either a) blind fire after 60 seconds or so into the match, or watch for tracer fire in that spot once enemy forces are engaged.  Hell, I have seen FOUR TD's up there before

I don't play arty anymore because I don't find it fun any more.  But my almost 500 games in arty has made me a much better tank driver by giving me knowledge of what arty can and can't do.

So you saying that if a good arty player is doing stuff that has taken them 500+ plus game's to learn amd putting it into practice. Like firing at known camping spots or following tracer. That it should be nerfed. What about for example a e75 side scraping properly and bouncing or just taking track damage. Should that tank also be NERFED.

If nothing else works, a total pig headed unwillingness to look facts in the face will see us through.

I have killed many tanks when trying to hit another tank near them. You very well may not have been detected, but the shot at the detected vehicle next to you could have missed.

lol...protecting yourself from a GW Panther is easy...just relocate after firing...and when driving in the open always keep a rock between you and the arty...the Panther doesn't have good arcing so even a smaller rock that normally won't protect you from American arty is usually effective against the panther.

Let me put this plain and simple

TOUCH MY GW PANTHER AND DIE!!!!!

That arty isn't as good as you think it is to suck it up and learn how to play against arty and give it up with the complaining about artillery.

My current grinds: T-43 (for T-54/T-62A), Tortoise (for Death Star), ISU-152 (for Obj 704, and Obj 268), Jagdtiger (for JagdPanzer E100), AMX 13-90 (for Batchat), AMX 50-100 (For AMX 50-120/50B), and KV-4 (For ST-I and IS-4)

I play for fun, and not WN8 (as it ruins my view of this game)

I own one and I'll say its not op. My crews op though, they're max. Its the player that make it op not the tank itself since its not an AI.

Learn how to play the game. It's not the Arty fault you don't know what you're doing. Sorry if I come off as an [edited], but I'm tired of these pointless nerf threads.

Is this sarcasm or do you think people seriously go through their loltraktor and T1 Cunningham and come out saying "God that was awful I am never playing a direct fire tank again, I'm just going to limit myself to the arty lines!"

some tanks like the kv-1s, T95 and hellcat are prone to getting one shot so take extra care when driving them.

As others have said if you do not have 6th sense you can be detected and not know so if a enemy is in your sight you should assume you are detected and start moving to avoid arty as much as possible.

best bet get you a light tank and become an arty killer and next to never get microwaves thrown at you again because an arty's biggest weakness is light tanks
